The following morning was a strange one.

The dreams from the previous night worried me. They also made me really tired. It took a while for me to wake up. When I finally did, I didn't feel rested.

"What's wrong?" Violet asked.

"I didn't sleep well," I answered. "I had a nightmare."

"Awww," Violet said, hugging me. "I'm sorry. Do you want to stay like this for a little bit?"

"Yes," I said. I hugged Violet back and the two of us sat there for a while.

Soon, though, the sunlight was streaming in through the window and we had to get up. When we went into the main living area, we saw Nakura, Vaide, and Rhian eating.

"Hey guys," Silva said.

"Morning," Violet said. She sat down on a chair and I sat on her lap, still tired. The sunlight from the windows and the magical lights overhead were slowly giving me energy so I guessed I'd be fine in around twenty minutes if I didn't move too much.

"So, we thought we could go free-hunting in the forest," Rhian said.

"What's that?" I asked.

"We can just go out into the unrestricted part of the forest and hunt as many monsters as we want," Windell answered, walking in. "We don't have to look for any specific monsters to beat; we can just walk around and beat what we find."

"That sounds fun," Violet said.

"It does," I agreed.

"One of the main reasons I think we should go is because I'm running out of ingredients," Rhian said. "I'm low on most of the plant ones too."

"Well, Lia can help with that," Violet said.

"I can?" I asked.

"Yep!" Violet said. "You can grow small bits of any plant you've touched for more than five seconds."

"Woah," I said, looking down at myself. "Cool!" I checked my status while thinking about my ability and saw a new list.

"Woah," I said. "I have a lot of plants on this list."

"What are they?" Rhian asked excitedly. "Do you have Ego Flower, Tengri'esque, or Tengri'don?"

"I have the first two," I said.

"Oh, thank god," Rhian said. "I'm almost out of both."

"I can grow some," I said. "Although I don't know how. . ."

"It should be like growing your thorns," Violet said. "But think about the plant first."

I did and watched as a blue vine with pink flowers and an orange branch with brown pods on it both grew from my arm. The flowers and pods all fell onto the table and the plants disappeared.

"Oh, wow!" Rhian said. "These are in perfect condition, too! Thanks!"

"It's nothing," I said.

"Yay, now you can make more of those potions!" Silva said, twirling in the air. "We only have one left."

"You used them already!?" Vaide exclaimed.

"Uh-huh!" Silva said brightly while Nakura turned bright red and her tail waved in the air faster than normal. Then I remembered Violet telling me that Rhian made the futa potions for Silva and Nakura.

"What would you need Tengri'don for?" Violet asked. "They're really toxic."

"Poisons, obviously," Vaide said. "And antidotes."

"You have the most toxic plant on this hemisphere right in front of you," Violet said, pointing at me.

". . . Oh," Rhian said. "Kinda didn't think about that. Bloodthorn poison is really hard to come by and really expensive, so I'm not used to using it."

"Well, now you know," Violet said. "Now come on, let's go hunt stuff."

I laughed and the others finished their food. Then we set out to the forest.
