We have kantai collection
We have Azur Lane
But
No one has what you have; Spaceship girl
Let's hope this is a birth of a new Era!
Sorry, Planet Master (it's a game) already has Spaceship Girls. Still it's a niche enough subcategory that I doubt there's much competition.
Yet Anne McCaffrey had similar concepts to this in 1969.
@gothicshark what a funny date
@gothicshark the true mother of dragons, imo... though I'm not sure I've forgiven her for killing off my favourite Harper
@kaithar It was his time. A time for all things, after all...
Yes, the world lost a great storyteller with her passing... and try as he might, Todd is nowhere near the writer his mother was... still pretty good, though.
Aside from Pern, McCaffrey had so many other great stories, from collabs with other authors, like her Petaybee and Lyons books, to her excellent Acorna books, and its sequel series... but aside from dragons and fire-lizards, perhaps her second best creation are the psychic Cats... Ship cats are mentioned in most of her works, implying a shared universe... what's it mean? That perhaps, had she lived longer, Acorna, The People of Petaybee, the Lyons and Mrdini, and the Pernese could have crossed paths... What an epic THAT would have been, eh?
@Darkakuahebi very few reach the world building and story telling Anne managed
I think the official stance is that her various series share some background but are separate universes except where explicitly specified.
