The synchronization with the VR Capsule gives me the feeling of a sharp splitting headache. If i had to describe it it's like your brain has been turned to goo and it's randomly splashing around in your head, not very pleasant.
Luckily this last for just a couple of seconds, and you get to experience it only once. The reason it happens is because the Capsule tries to recalibrate its parameters to perfectly fit your nervous system. The second time it synchronizes you will still feel a headache, but only for a split second and not as strong as the first one.
Opening my eyes, I find myself lying in the middle of a solf bed with silky smooth bedsheets. Looking around I notice the environment around me is an endless flat grassland.
Getting off the bed I can't help but look at my body. It resembles a male body, but with gray skin. Not to mention that it's nothing like my original one in proportions. It is a bit higher than me, with muscles you'd think the greek themselves have sculpted.
I do some stretches to get a bit accustomed to the body, then after those I break into an all out sprint.
The reason I started sprinting? ... Well, in the advertisement of the game it said that it features the feeling of acceleration, can I not check if they have lied? I do say though, it's impossible to make out the difference between this and running in real life. They weren't kidding about making it 'Immersive'.
Stopping in place, I start to think that they may have made it a bit too Immersive, since I have gotten a bit tired from that.
I wonder if you can get hungry in here or in the world of the game? probably not. That would be just annoying.
Looking back I spot that the bed I woke up on is not as far as I thought it would be. There Is probably some feature that make you teleport back after you move a certain distance away. Above the bed there are four massive numbers representing the time. Right next to the bed I spot a chair and a desk with some kind of half-transparent panel placed on it.
Walking closer to them, I sit on the chair and turn my head to the panel. It says the following :

Below the panel is a standard keyboard with the QWERTY key configuration as well as a mouse, two staples of the computer world that I'm sure aren't going to wither away soon. Typing in the name and password you get along with the Capsule, the words on the panel fade out to be replaced with the following ones.

This time I click on [YES].
My pretty face is immediately dabbed on by a massive wall of text, some may say that it's even a magnum text. Upon closer look I actually discover that it's a list containing the different playable races in the game. On the right side of the wall of text is a model of what the race is supposed to look like. Right below it is a [MALE] and [FEMALE] button, along with two buttons the first reads [TRY BODY] and the second one reads [FURTHER CUSTOMIZATION].
What I currently have selected is Human male. A guy with an average build, an average face and an average... well, everything to be honest.
I Tap on [TRY BODY] with my mouse. The gray skinned figure I had was just replaced by the guy that is on the panel. I didn't feel anything absolutely anything when my body changed to be honest. Just the perspective changed a bit because of the difference in height. Checking myself I find that unsurprisingly, the guy is the exact same as the one on the panel.

Including........ Looking between my legs I also discover a certain "something" that was missing from the gray skinned guy I just was. If I remember correctly you have the ability to remove adult content from the game options menu. I will keep them as they are for now though.
Looking back to the tablet I can't help but wonder how many males will choose to play with 'female' characters. If other VR games serve as an example, about 30 %. I am happy to announce that I am not such a degenerate, and that I WILL NOT play as a female....... Yet.
I click on the new [RETURN TO DEFAULT AVATAR] button that showed up.
Reading through a few of the races I feel that I will be spending a lot of time trying some out. But also - a big grin spreads across my face. I can't help but get very excited right about now, to the point where I'm almost bouncing on the chair like some little kid.
If you have by any chance spent the same amount of time I have with the old VR gear you will know just how amazing this transition feels.
"Welp, I guess its time to get to business creating my character" - speaking to myself like a weirdo I select a new race and press on the "TRY BODY" button with my mouse.
Needless to say, I spend about an hour just browsing through the races before I even got to the finer details.
I tried lots of different races Angels, Demons, Elves , Midgets (or as some people call them Gnomes) and Thicc Midgets (Most people refer to these abominations as dwarfs). I even tried some lesser known ones, or just races that were built up from scratch by Tesla Games. One of those was the 'Undine' which is in essence humans that have blue-ish skin and live in the water. Apparently they inhabit a water covered world along with some other aquatic races. The founder of Tesla Games we all know and love 'Elon Dusk' said that different races are placed in different worlds, but you can travel in between them after you advance to a certain point in the game.
Fun fact actually - the environment changes depending on what race you choose. When I chose the Undine the world around me transformed into one resembling a sea floor. It came with colorful corals, pretty fishes and stuff you'd expect to see on the sea floor, I think I even saw a turtle In the distance.
I wonder if there are any animals in the original plains biome.
A big portion of checking out the races was pretty much me being an absolute idiot and breaking my neck trying to fly with wings I absolutely could not control. Flying is like trying to ride a bike while downing several bottles of vodka in the middle of the night where you cant even see one meter in front of you. Not a very good experience. I did get the hang of it though.
After all my race finding adventures I did discover one that strikes my fancy. And that race is exactly the mighty 'Draconian'. A mighty species with a tail, scaly dragon-like feet, crocodile-like eyes and patches of random scales on their skin. No wings though. They live in the same world as 5 other playable races : The humans, The elves, The beastmen, the dwarves and the gnomes. They have strong bodies and are experts when it comes to manipulating fire, doesn't matter if its magic or something else, if it has fire they're good at it. As a drawback they aren't as good at using other types of magics as the other races.
There is a whole lot of different worlds with different natures. Every world inhabited by a specific few races. As I mentioned before, the aquatic world where the Undine are. The 'Classic Fantasy' world where I will be with my draconian character. There is also the world where the angels, demons and a couple of other races of holy or unholy nature reside.
After Choosing my race I spent the some of my time designing my guy - I gave him wine red hair, and white skin. He's about 1 meter 80 in height with Wine red scales and straight horns of the same color. He has a moderate amount of well defined muscle - not too little but not too much. Perfectly balanced.
As for my facial features I made the face look NOTHING like the ones I have in real life. Lets be real, I'm here to drop salt on some kids, to rustle up some Jimmies, In the most simple of words - to make people wanna snap my neck. Isn't using the same face I have in real life as the one I have here just begging to get myself doxxed?
After I'm done dealing with the finer details of my character I check out the body to make sure there aren't any problems and click on - [FINISH CHARACTER]
It sent me a message that it wants me to name my character. As in the name other players will be able to see... Standing in place for a solid few minutes I think of the perfect name befitting of a highly intellectual person such as myself : xXx_PrOgAmErOfDaWn_xXx, a Truly beautiful name that is enough to bring a tear to most peoples eyes, though not for the right reasons.
I look back at the time to find out there is still about half an hour before the grand opening.
With nothing better to do I go to the options menu to check how I can change my gaming experience

Hot & Cold is similar to the pain sensitivity, this one in turn to 0% as well.
After I was done reading through all the game options and setting them to my preferences there were only 2 minutes remaining.
Finally done with everything, I stand up from the chair, take in a deep breath and...... .............Wonder how in the actual hell I'm supposed to enter the servers. They haven't said absolutely anything about entering them so how are you supposed to know?
Since there are less than 2 minutes remaining I decide it will be a good idea to wait it out, not like I can do anything else though.

After the 2 minutes passed, my poor self that was dying from anticipation was startled by a thunderous, mighty sound like Zeus himself decided to shit on my very existence.
The origin of that sound was 20 meters high exquisitely crafted golden gate that decided to just fall out of the sky right in front of me.
Slowly, oh so very slowly and dramatically the gates doors opened to reveal the absolute darkness behind them.
Stepping in closer, I observe the darkness for a bit and then - poke it. It very lightly sucks my finger after which I take it out. The texture of the darkness is actually very jelly - like. It gives you the feeling like you are touching glass that is somehow in a liquid instead of a solid form.
Shrugging my shoulders I step a couple of meters back to make space.
I take a 'On your marks' running position and with my new mighty draconic body I accelerate forwards as fast as I can.
"COWABUNGA DUDE!!" - I leap off and dive right into the darkness of the gate.
I was compelled by powers greater than I to place my face into the heart of my palm at a frightening speed when I read that last line.
I guess thats what the chuunibyou tag is for, lol
