So. Down the road is coming a pretty big wagon. There are five people around it. Inwardly, I'm panicking.

"Otto, what do we do?" Outwardly, I'm panicking too. "Do we hide in the bushes? Only the drug farm is behind us, so we can't go back."

Ah, they saw us. Some are running over. Shit.

Otto's putting up his hood. Shit is about to go down. I think. Hopefully, I can use my high level negotiating skill. Wait, there are actual skills in this world. That joke doesn't work anymore!

Time for story time. Better make it sound like we just coincidently came across the road, ran into that huge ass flesh golem, and pretend we turned back after seeing something that huge and gross. Yup. That's the best plan here. I think. Wait, we haven't passed the flesh golem yet, so they must have passed it already. They know something is up.

Alright, plan two. Seduction. I'm certain there's one guy over there who'd be into a handsome man like me. Except I'm an ugly motherfucker. Wait, that fate may be worse than death. Fuck that. Bad idea.

Final plan is a go. Praying to god.

Please, god, you lazy bastard, do me a solid. Just this once, I'm asking you to do something useful for the sake of this world.

Nope, they're almost here.

Well, I'm out.

Best of luck Otto.

I put on my concealment while I dashed into tree line on my right. Too many people for me. It's best to run away now. I looked back for a second.

"OTTO, WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME!?"

We need to split up in order to lose them! If we stick together, we'll have to fight them together. Since I'm stealthy, I'll lose my guy. But, maybe Otto knows that I'm abandoning him?

Goddamnit.

"GET BACK HERE!" I heard someone shout behind me. Very convincing, but nope. I love being alive, thank you.

While I dashed through the underbrush, I heard a whizzing sound and shifted my head only to see an arrow zoom by where my head was just a moment ago. Wow, nice shot. Too bad you're trying to kill me!

I sped up my mad dash.

Holy shit, I am fast when I wanna be. I'm leaving the rest of them in the dust.

Sorry Otto. Hang in there!

After getting a sizable lead, I jump into a tree. Wow, that is one awesome jump. So, my stats really are high, huh.

Wait.

Maybe I can take them.

Maybe.

Well, I should save Otto. Methinks he can't "Bard Bash" his was out of this one.

Well, time for an ambush. I grabbed a knife from my item storage.

I watched as Otto ran past me, followed by the others. They just about missed me. Good.

As the archer, who was the last to follow, passed beneath the tree, I jumped down on them.

Right before I landed on him, he seemed to notice something and tried to dodge, but I plunged the dagger into his head before he could. One down. I left the dagger there and chased after the other two.

As I started to dash, even when under concealment, the two noticed me. Perhaps they realized their friend was missing. One of them turned around to stop me, while the other one kept chasing after Otto. Otto probably can handle that guy.

The guy in front of me, who was one ugly son of a bitch, dashed towards me with a short sword. He swung horizontally, giving a loud "GRAAAH!", and I parried with a dagger I brought from my item storage. Then, I decided to try something.

He swung down with his sword from above, and I held my dagger to block it again, but this time I charged my dagger with my electricity magic. When the touched, I felt the magic ride through the sword and into his arm.

The man dropped his sword as his hand spasmed. I made sure to take the opportunity by rushing forward to stab him in the chest, infusing it with more electricity.

The guy fell to the ground, spasming. Great. I looked away from him, towards where Otto was being chased to, and saw him rushing back.

Great. We're alive.

Then the adrenaline wore off, and I realized what I had done.

I just killed two people.

I didn't really think about it much either.

I thought I would be much more horrified by my actions than how I felt right now.

I killed two people, and I really didn't think much of it.

I mean, they were threatening our lives. One of them shot an arrow at me, and the other one tried to kill me with his sword. It was a kill or be killed situation.

I guess, we're fine then? I did have sufficient justification for my actions. I just felt slightly disgusted that I wasn't internally flipping out right now.

I looked down at the corpse in front of me.

Well then.

Time to clean up the rest of them.

I turned around towards the path, and began sprinting.

* * *

The two that were left were pretty easy. While they were waiting for the other three to sneak back, I managed to sneak up on one, and kill the other when he tried to flee. The other three must have been those more experienced in combat.

After cleaning up those two, Otto and I went back in the woods and looted the corpses. I grabbed some more weapons and money from them.

The guy Otto has killed did not look pretty. His face was smashed, bludgeoned by what I can only assume was a lute, given the amount of blood I see dripping off of Otto's. Are you sure you're a bard, and not a bard-barian?

Moving on from that, we dumped all of the bodies out in the wild, and took the wagon they were using. It was a small wagon that a person or a donkey would pull behind themselves. It was pretty small, but it would do the job well.

I hopped into the back seat.

"Alright, Otto, my noble steed. Your time has come." Finally, Otto's true purpose would be brought forth today. I pointed forwards. "Lead us onwards, to victory!"

Otto looked at me with what I could only consider to be an eyeless eye roll. He walked forward and pulled me off the cart. Nooooo...

We left the cart behind us and started walking east again. Behind us, the smoke from the burning farm could still be seen.

* * *

After continuing to the east, we saw the corpse of the flesh golem coming into sight again. By this time, it had begun to get dark out.

"Alright Otto, we need to stop for the night." I said. Otto responded with a nod.

We walked a bit off the path, before a I heard a strange noise.

I gestured to Otto to stop, and had us both duck down. I peaked through the bushes.

Oh no.

It's another ball-o-grossness.

I remember hearing about those fuckers from one of the guys at the farm. They were all over the woods if I remember properly.

Time to move on, Otto.

I turned behind to look for Otto.

There wasn't anyone there.

"What."

Where the fuck did he go? Wasn't I supposed to be the stealthy one? He's metal, shouldn't his joints squeak or something?

I begin to frantically look for him, before I hear the sound of something hitting a tree.

Time to go.

I rush towards the noise.

Oh. Why was I worried?

I see a large bloodstain left behind on a tree, and a mess of flesh below it. I guess Otto can handle himself. Why was I worried?

Ha.

I punched Otto.

"OW, SHIT!" I shouted. I forgot the guy was made of metal. My hand hurts like hell. Goddamnit.

"Damnit, don't sneak off like that." I tried to scold Otto, but I don't think it was working. Fucker. Damnit, I was worried.

I was worried?

...

Yeah, I was about to lose my ticket into town.

Yep, that's what I was worried about.

I should stop thinking about this for a bit.

After being pissed at Otto for a while, I found a place devoid of golems, and we went to sleep.

Here's my status.
