Hi, how's it goin? Been a little longer since the last update than I thought, and I really hate it when authors put up non-chapters as if I'm on a phone I'm just like "Oh, a new chapter." but then its not :P
Anyway, I've just posted the first chapter of my new novel "Goblinlife of My Wife and I" so please give it a read and tell me what you think.
I will delete this "chapter" probably in like a week to not annoy any new readers (if there are any), so see you later.

I enjoyed this story so if you continue it or not I'll more likely than not read more of your novels. After all, the worst thing an author can do is force themselves to write something they don't enjoy. If that means you just taking a break to recharge from it or dropping it altogether, at the very least thanks for the story.

But "catnip in Hogwarts" will be dropped?
I'm not sure, I mean I had a lot of backstory planned for the characters and I liked writing the story, but the amount of checking I did for the chapters in Hogwarts made writing it quite a chore (I could've just written whatever, but as it's a already established world I didn't want to destroy it like some others do).
Maybe I'll continue Catnip at some point I don't know.

@retiisi I would really enjoy it if you continued with this fiction. I think you can distance yourself from the plot somewhat and use the HP wikis to look up interesting facts and stuff. She is not close to the three protagonists from the original plot and could have her own plot with the HP plot just being background happenings for the most part. The big public events for example like the tournament. You can change things up quite a bit if you want. She will have an effect on the storyline after all.. or should have one. Even if the gist of it may stay similar.
Edit: I think it is also fine if she has big effects on the storyline or if lessons are held differently and the contents change a bit. No need to quote people ad verbatim or keep the house scores to the same value as in the books and stuff like that, really. Even the main events can be changed, though I would consider them as something orchestrated by Dumbledore to challenge Harry and make him grow while facing adversity. So you can imagine that things will stay challenging even if particulars change. Feel free to feel more free?
Edit 2: I think what is more important than keeping the original storyline intact is to keep the characters personalities the same. To me, it would be more weird if nothing changed than if everything stayed the same. I think Almira would likely join the Quidditch team for example and might have her own adventures as well, though via Hagrid she might also befriend Harry and his friends. Dumbledore might also start planning with her in mind since she is decidedly not average.
I think she'd definitely be most interested in courses about the beasts and probably flying/sports and might try for a career in that direction. Or go for exploration. I can definitely see her sneaking into the forbidden forest amongst other things.
Edit 3: If you are wondering how to continue after the last chapter, I don't think that Almiras mum would still want to use her as a weapon even if she finds out Voldemort is still 'alive', but I would still expect her to prepare her daughter and complain to the headmaster & stuff.
@Nysta Connecting my own brainstorming thoughts to your respective sections.
The upcoming Norbert riding fiasco could have some hilarity of her playing with Norbert at the time Harry runs over, then riding with Harry or maybe not letting Harry ride for whatever reason? I can guess that she is going to be close to Norbert anyways. How does her chimera nature work near a Unicorn anyhow?
Nysta edit 1 I also do not expect her to make the biggest waves, perhaps you could make like the setting of “fantastic beasts and where to find them” plot by having her do some kind of study abroad? Does hogwarts have study abroad?
