I think my biggest issue is just.. Everything is so on-the-nose. The shrine in a foreign world is "Japanese style", katanas and kimono kitsune.
Also the characters we've met so far are just complete yes-men. "My young daughter brings home a barely dressed stranger who claims amnesia through a poorly rehearsed story?
