I foolishly thought at first that the main character would seek to change his fate and rewrite the tragic end. But it turned out that the whole novel is dedicated to the triumph of the spineless coward, which is represented by the main character of this novel. All of them are dedicated to how to kneel in front of your enemy and hand over the women around him. He doesn't do anything on the surface, but the "inner voice" forces the heroines to become his harem instead of the original Long Aotian. This is the biggest failure of this novel. The main character complains about the routine of the villain, repeats it in a worse, much more forced manner. This hypocrisy has completely eliminated the desire to read on.

If you're looking for a more serious work, as I believe the other reviewers were, I suggest looking for something else. This novel excels the most in its comedic moments, with most conflicts, particularly with the main antagonist, ending in a ridiculous, though satisfying, manner. The novel's more serious moments are the best when they go into introspection in regards to Lu Chengwen's (MC) actions. Like why he was initially trying to follow the plot and stay on Long Aotian's good side.

Since this is a translation work, I'm not holding the novel to the same standards I normally would on this site, and instead doing it based off entertainment. It's honestly more of a 4 stars but I don't want the novel to drop below its current rating, which I believe is most accurate.

Man, this novel is a gem and completely worth reading!

I laughed out loud so badly while reading this? The author is magnificently creative and keeps you hooked. It's not your standard fare Chinese novel.

It's good, but author is stretching MC & main Fc too much. There are my error in genders ms is replaced by mr. Love Hate btwn character's is getting annoying. MC is dumb as rock. Any sane person would killed himself even if he or she is a pushover.
