This is such a sweet short story. Personally, I enjoyed it a LOT OwO 

I'm not exactly sure what to say rn. I finished it a while ago and I just feel content (▰˘◡˘▰)......... uh right *switches brain on* let's write sth xD 

It's enjoyable how during these few chapters, the characters gain increasing depth as you find out more about their traits and thoughts. Both the leads are charming and cool~ and they're awesome together (ﾉ>ω<) ﾉ I really like them both. Despite the rather short length of this story, the amount of detail and different interactions makes them appear just... very human? (Even though one clearly is not lolol xDD)

It's cute, at times amusing, and at others so exciting!! Exciting af!!! Dude stahp it my stomach can't fit more butterflies (>д<) XDDD it's to the point where I'm just like "*high pitched squealing intensifies (≧∀≦) * aaaaaAAAAHHHHH (≧∇≦) " xD 

It's so sweet too~ the end is rounded off nicely with among other things one character getting what they deserve, a funny bit of too much info PDA and things, in a way, coming full circle. It was so nice, it made me tear up. I'm so soft rn QwQ this is just.... *hums contentedly* (▰˘◡˘▰)

Btw there's an awesome lemon :D it's a sweet one, so sweeeeet~ 

All in all, I just wanna say I enjoyed this a lot. It's simply beautiful~ and who knows, maybe you will too? :)

I am very agree with Loni4ever, after finished this story, I feel content.

This is another masterpice from Author, very well written, and beatifully describe on every aspect.

I love how both of MC and ML gradually increase their feeling between them by knowing each other deeper. I want more fluffy scene though....

I like how they punish the bad one with give him some works to do, rather than phisically hurt him (eventhough he deserves it).

I really love how Author complete this beautiful story with such ending. It's like, filling a hole in your heart. 

You should give it a try.

It's kinda shameful to write such a short review, but i'll go straight to the point : great story, a bit tragic at the beginning but no worries guyz, it's a HE, and a very good happy ending !

The main characters are cute but can be mischevious if needed. I really like how they handle the antagonist : I'm kinda tired of the traditional cruel face-slapping, so I find it clever to end it like this ! No spoiler I won't say anything more ;) Just read it if you're curious !

You can read all the stories of this (very good) author without worrying about non con or dub con.  I even feel like these novels could be educating on those matters for some people I know !

The tragic circumstances with which the main character Ming Quan started this story coupled with the solution to the tragedy being Just out of reach, made my heart ache. The romance that developed was sweet, warm, and fuzzy, and it was nice to read characters who respect and admire each other equally.

just finished OMG! It was perfect! The story line, the character growth, the emotions was just right. It made me laugh, cry and beg for more and yet still ended perfectly. The beginning of this story is incredibly refreshing. The tone is very sombre and poignant, the character types are rare in BL, and the romance was very subtle and unique.

I originally read this on my break at work and had to fight not to cry several times. 

The main character is responsible and level-headed, even in the face of his own death.

The love interest is cold but actually has a personality, being detached from humans but not cruel. He shows his consideration for the MC through actions rather than words.

Overall, although this story has the heavy theme of "learning to accept death", it handles it beautifully. I would give this beginning section a solid, well-deserved 5/5.

For me, this story was somewhat disappointing in the second half.

Once the love interest "melted", he became a character type that doesn't really interest me.

The romantic dynamic between the two leads also lost its subtlety, becoming very close to the sort of conventional teasing-and-blushing dynamic that's commonly found in Chinese BL, albeit far, far healthier.

This novel also has a traditional seme-uke dynamic. Although the author includes conversations between the two hinting that the main character might top in the future, this never occurs in the course of the story and so doesn't affect the real dynamic.

Naturally, after the romance becomes more set in stone, the tension that existed in the first half came to an end. However, as this was never replaced with anything else to give weight to this section, it resulted in a severe change in tone that I found personally unsatisfying.

That's not to say that this section of the novel was bad or that I wouldn't recommend this story overall.

Obviously, these conventions are widely enjoyed and this novel spins them in a fresher and even more enjoyable manner.

Some may also prefer the more traditionally lighter and happier mood of the second half.

For me, however, I have to lower my rating, because it's not the type of BL that I would have chosen to read.
