A very mediocre MC, no redeeming qualities and very hypocritical. All the characters are simple, basic, and 2D in their quality. The story itself was impressive, the idea behind the story, the unique origin and the MCs powers. If it was based on that alone then I'd give this story a 5 star but the MC is heavily lacking in personality, decision making, and mindset. The grammar is decent but the longer the story goes on the easier it is to notice the flaws of the MC and its really dragged down this story for me. While the highlights of this story is the designs of the world and the situations created, the author lacks in interpersonal communication and relationship development. The story is quite boring after you've reached the hundred chapter mark.

generally a good story but the MC does some questionable with him keeping some unlilable and annoying characters around instead of like kicking them oit or just ignoring them

ok, I REALLY like this story. There's just one problem. What was the point of previously making him reincarnated? Besides relating the pop culture references there was almost no reason to make him reincarnated. He doesn't get any bonuses, his mental image of himself is a tree not human, his personality adapted way too quickly to the tree mindset, he refuses to tell anyone his true age for fear of weakness/loss of respect.
ugh, there was just so much potential to play with the human aspect of him and the story just barely acknowledges it. (The newest arc has started referencing his humanity more and more which is something that made me very happy especially when comparing his personality with the lillies)
honestly overall the continent arc is way better than the city arc. Clearly, the author had something else originally planned for the city and just didn't like the direction of the story so they reset everything. But I love it, most author would give up on a story before resetting everything but im glad he didnt. Because it made the story way better as a result.
beginning is good, newest chapters are amazing, but that transition inbetween part was not so great.

Edited: The story has 0 character development, 0 likeable characters, no story direction... The story feels forced like the author is writing depending on what is currently happening in his life there are no minor goals just the general goal of stopping the demons, and most of all the litrpg that drew me to this story was abandoned.
All in all this is sad, the story had a lot of potential, hoping for a rewrite.
End of edit
In general I wold give this story 2 stars but the LitRPG was executed so well that I spend hours thinking about the abilities, there combinations, where they are headed what are there limits... And in my opinion this is the greatest attraction of this story so 4 stars.
I'm really enjoying this story but there are some mayor flaws that break my immersion.
The MC is reincarnated as a tree, but in the story that is overlooked/ignored and so he starts feeling like he was always a tree instead of a human in a tree. All that was drawn from him being human before are some references that totally break the immersion and ruin the chapters they are in. The author had a chance/thought of fixing it when the MC got to lvl150 but abandoned it. The MC currently fells like a block of wood never going on the offensive always just passively waiting for the world around him to change. If this was the goal of the author he cold have just made it so that a dying hero came to a tree and gave it his soul for it to gain those abilities, that way the lack of humanity wold be explained. But now he feels hollow, stupid and passive. An unlikable MC all in all.
As you read the story you feel where the author changed the path he wanted to go, as well as there being 2 mayor lows in the readability of the story where nothing really happens.
There are a lot of bad characters that are being puled along for unknown reasons, which makes me hate them more and more they don't add anything to the story and make me feel that the author is keeping them there to prolong the story, or out of some twisted love. The fan favorite characters die while those hated and ungrateful remain. Those dragged along characters drag down the story as well going from excitement to boredom whenever they are mentioned.

In one word: fantastic.
Original content, good pacing, satisfactory detail, impeccable grammar and editing, no gaping plot holes or jumps in logic. Pertinent characters have depth, and the worldbuilding is well done.
No cringy tropes - tsundere, nervous flirting, irrational jealousy... actually, the fact that the MC is a tree prohibits it, as well it should, but people's imaginations are depressingly wide.
The main character isn't overly idealistic. He mostly just focuses on his own well-being. He'll help people, but won't be unrealistically selfless about it. He's pretty cerebral when it comes to the big picture, but has moments where he can be scatterbrained - largely because he isn't human and doesn't have the same priorities or experience time the same way anymore.
Largely serious story, but not depressing.

I love your story and I hope you focus on the positive reviews!
The negative ones I saw are unwarranted or just personal preferences. Like the one where he wants to do things a certain way, that what you call personality! Or where he latched onto others he knew for long, how would you feel to constantly lose people?! Its already good that hes not locked himself away. And weird perspective of time? Hes a f*cking tree, what do you expect.
Sorry, just saw a review section and thought what other people found this story cool and then I find this sh*t, maybe I just had bad luck and got the bad ones, but still!
Sorry for the rant and have a nice day.

I REALLY hope the author would make a world map. It would really help us reader to visualize the story. (Especially for the early story, where the scope is countries)
I know the map is changing a lot, since this novel has a lot of time skip and destruction-development; of course it would be amazing to have map for each "era"; but even a simple continents map with a general location would help a lot.

Tree of Aeons is more like a real western fantasy novel than most I've tried here in the past which are way too anime-esque cliche and pretty cringy. Which is kind of a surprise because I didn't expect this kind of quality here on this site. It is well written, has memorable characters, great world building and good humor. The story is so addictive that it was pretty hard to put down and I can only hope for more soon now that I've caught up. Only complaints are it is some times slow going sometimes and I feel the author gets side tracked alot with unessicary details but I just guess it makes it the whole more immsersive for me. 5/5.

The story is very refreshing and interesting, seeing the world from the point of view of the tree, its kind of sad how passive and un-human like matt is sometimes, though it can also be interesting.
