Before starting this story, I read the synopsis and wondered: Why would I read a story about a person who gets reincarnated into a rock?
Well, it was an undeniably interesting concept, but I did not honestly expect to have it retain my interest. As it turns out, I was wrong, and horribly entertained for the time it took me to read chapter 1 to 16.
I was sceptical though, seeing this categorised as litRPG. Because while my experience in reading said genre is still lacking, I have seen enough to know that it can go very, very wrong.
In this story, I did not find the interactive aspects obtrusive.
As for the blue status boxes, I thought they were nice, and that they carried meaning in the general narrative.
Overall, the story has a pretty nice flow, and the sentient rock's interactions with his undead companion are simply gold.
The overall concept reminds me a bit of the first portion of the series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, before the main character gets the hang of it.
All in all, this is a very nice story. It might not have updated in a while, but even if it does not continue, I would probably go back to read the existing chapters again.
