Steven awakens to a nightmare. Transported to a brutal medieval kingdom on a faraway world, he wakes up as Kivamus, the exiled third son of a Duke.
Now he's the newly made Baron of a crumbling village called Tiranat, in a bandit-ridden frontier located within untamed forests. Here, survival is a daily battle, resources are scarce, and technology is a distant dream.
Yet, he sees potential where the villagers only see struggle. He dreams of using his knowledge to forge a new future for Tiranat, a future fueled by industry.
But the path to progress is not going to be easy. Managing a starving village in the coming winter and navigating the cut-throat world of medieval nobility is just the beginning.

Before you start reading this story, please be aware that this will not be a short novel.
I prefer long stories with expansive worldbuilding, which usualy takes thousands of pages in order to fully tell the story I have in my mind. So if you are looking for a quick read with fast paced action, this story will likely not be for you.
For everyone else, I hope you enjoy this epic journey alongside me.

Edit: [Jan 2025] Story is still being continued and updated regularly on Royalroad.
Very slow. It's easy reading, isekai but MC hasn't really used any of his otherworldly knowledge for anything yet (brainwash a regular noble to hate the concept of slavery and be humble and that's pretty much MC). Perhaps overly detailed and descriptive worldbuilding for most, there isn't much instant gratification typically seen in an isekai.
It doesn't read like mass-produced trash isekai so, bonus points.

[Wrote this review first on RR, but wanted to let the readers here know about the quality of this story]
The concept of this story is along the lines of something I have been looking for a long time but unable to find, till now. A kingdom (village rn) building story with someone from the modern age who brings with them ideas and philosophies yet to be seen. The realism and level to detail regarding the world building is excellent, and although the pacing of the story would be abhorrently slow in the minds of many; with the amount of developments and progress taking place within the world it doesn't feel as such at all. The prose is nothing fancy but gets the point across, descriptions about the plight of the people are moving to say the least. Characters seem fleshed out with hopefully organic improvement to come. I can tell that the author's style and writing as a whole has changed for the better since the start of the story.
PS. I can't wait till the situation has settled down and he can bring about some of his bigger ideas, such as the steam engine and concrete already mentioned. There was also mention of firearms which I am curious as to how the development of them will pan out. Also intrigue about the future obstacles/villains will not let you leave.

I am a big fan of kingdom building novel, iam loving the authors approach to a realistic non litrpg story. It is a well written novel. I have been enjoying it a lot, the pacing is good and so is the grammar.
Give it a try, you might fell in love with it like I did
All the best to the author.
