Fate was already written in the stars, and a lonely woman bore the unjust suffering of the world. Betrayed and lost, the victim wondered why?
Retribution they called it. Yet she was unable to understand. Scarred, afraid, and despairing, the
A very fun read that I would 100% recommend to anyone who comes across this review. I don't usually write reviews because I'm too lazy to do it, but this one is just too good to not give it one. TLDR at the end.
Minor spoiler, which I'm not going to hide because just looking at the tags would give you enough hints anyway.
The cheerful tone of the synopsis is really misleading, but not in a bad, or incorrect, or wrong way. If anything, it's a perfect setup into giving the reader a misconception regarding what the story's tone is going to be like, catching you off-guard in a mild and pleasant way, which really piques and keeps your interest.
It puts the "crisis" in identity crisis in a subtle and fun way that would get you interested into reading more and finding out how the protag overcomes it.
And it's not just a one time thing, it's gradual. Even better is that the graduality of it all is like a fluid yet wild stream that becomes peaceful one moment, and then suddenly drops into a waterfall.
Furthermore, the peaceful streams or the sudden waterfalls aren't always the same. They have their own intensity that varies in degree. I personally love how interactions are written, especially the protag's deep interpersonal relationships and the conflicts involving each.
And although the mystery is a little frustrating, I'm not going to say that's a negative. That's just how mysteries are. The frustration will always come along it, and it will be all satisfying in the end once the mysteries are solved.
Let's move past the psychology and move on to the action. It's descriptive enough that you'd be able to clearly get an image of what is currently happening. Although one could come up with better description while reading the story for better imagery. A lot of stories "tells" rather than "show, " and this story is not in the former. I wouldn't say it's great, but it's definitely more than above average.
I honestly had more to say, but I forgot what it was halfway through writing this review. You've already read up to the end of this review and are probably intrigued, go and read the story itself already.
TLDR; This story is great, go read it. What, expecting more? It's not TLDR for no reason, if you want a more substantial reason, then read the entire thing.

Made an account just to write this review, and I gotta say this story got me hooked the moment I saw it. I’ve seen a few story with similar premise, but non of them was as well written as this one. The MC is likeable, and I like how the chat is important in the story but isn’t completely flooding it as filler. I also love any kind of psychological story so that’s another plus.

Imagine a streamer, a VTuber, with a fun persona and rapport with her chat... trapped alone in an alien videogame world, where if she dies it's her dying, and trying to survive and keep up her spirits with only her stream chat for support, comfort, and advice....I don't know if you need more of a pitch than that? It is really well executed so far - the chat feels like a fun stream chat, the protagonist's emotions and actions make a lot of sense, the setting is bizarre and captivating... we're having a good time. Nana Aoto is a great protagonist dealing with harsh circumstances with humor and genre savvy, and her progression both videogame-y and as a person very much feels earned.
