In the year 1846, humans made a deal with 4th dimensional beings to leave a dying and polluting earth by teleporting to an aquatic exo-planet named Portunus. Vast blue oceans with little land, blue grass, and life-killing robots that generate from the planet’s atmosphere is a constant. Luckily, military combatants with magic-like powers and steam powered technology are tasked with protecting the fate of humankind in a life or death game. The problem is, not all those sworn in duty to protect the people serve them; instead serving a tyrannical king and council; punishing those who speak out righteously or dare be “abnormal“.

PS: Aperol Spritz is now on hiatus. I was very dissatisfied with the lackluster and disjointed worldbuilding, impersonal characters, generic villains, and bland protagonist. I am working on a new novel that should hopefully be an improvement upon my weaknesses in Aperol Spritz. When that releases is something I don’t know, but it probably will be within a month or two.
