The world this story takes place in has no name. As the people living in the world have had no reason to see that it needs a name.

The wildlife of the desert consists mainly of insects as rather large ants about the size of mice scurry about looking for plant life to feed upon while being preyed upon by desert racers or young sand reapers. A few oases are scattered about where camels and desert bison gather. Often times the desert bison would drive off several raids by Desert racers to protect the scarce little food that keeps their heard alive.

Rains are scarce as the weather sends clouds from the broken sea across the peninsula where the Tana rainforest is located by the time rain clouds reach the desert, they would have already lost most of their moisture on the Tana mountain range.

It has become a recent tradition started by a certain bearkin hunter for hunters of Ingaria to test themselves against Sand reapers of the desert in order to hone their senses.
