After years of fighting a terrible disease, Amelia finds herself transported into a mysterious world, right into the quarters of a demon captain! Free from her years of suffering, Amelia decides to face this new reality with optimism and cheerfulness!
Strangely, she seems to have a new body, retaining all the abilities of her game character she spent years levelling in the hospital! However, wasn't that character a demonic combat mage? Who's this pretty blond woman she's become!?
Well, never mind! Better not let the demons know of her titanic combat capabilities, instead maybe her modest healing abilities could be provided as a service? Hang on, I'm not a spy, or an assassin!

TLDR Fantastic in every way and regardless of what brought you to this review you should just read it to enjoy a wonderful story. 5/5.
This story is the kind of writing that I like most in this world. The characters are superbly written with a range of thoughts, emotions, motivations, and desires that creates a level of depth that are just not often found in even well known works you may find in local bookstores world wide.
These characters act like real people, in good and bad ways. If someone is fighting a person or group it is because they used their knowledge and experiences to decode to do so. These characters have depth of experiences that form them and not just act as good guys because they are knights in shining armor, or act like bad guys because they are whisker twisting bad guys.
Everyone can be smart or dumb on their own merits. This is the kind of smart writing I absolutely love, and shows just how smartly written this story is. That kind of writing has been rare in all sorts of media for a long time. Recently it has become so bad that antagonists, or even protagonists in a story may have a character similar to the Terminator from those self named movies. The Terminator and T-1000 in those movies was nat a character as we know them. It was instead a force of death and destruction where you were in arms reach you would be dead.
All of that makes the nature of a character important. A character has to have a reason to be somewhere, it is never just a convenient place someone could be, except for Amelia's initial appearance but as things progress you are being presented with evidence that even that was not just the power of the plot in action. Everything matters for all these people. Their history, education, bravery, cowardice, all of it.
Amelia is absolutely a wonderful kind of girl people would be drawn to, both romantically and otherwise. Her relationship with Serena is as believable as it is endearing, as well as handling the reactions of people that may have problems with it so well it could be held up as an example of how to realistically and reasonably as possible with falling for a narrative that would ruin the realistic depiction here.
This author should be proud of these people they have let us let us view from the screens of our various devices.
Now on to the other important issue of this story. The setting....
I love this setting so damn much. Steam/Magitech airship roughly equivalent to late 1800's ships that have all the personality that entails, yet having gliders/drop pods, small attack boats seige guns on fortresses, flak cannon, sails to save on fuel, even a layer of the sky that you can submerge into as well as a portion that is certain death.
The world is floating islands with its own type of environment and even it's own unique heavenly bodies moving across the sky, there are cultural influences from several peoples of our world like East Asian, Scandinavian, old Roman catholic, and I feel many more waiting to be explored.
This review has gone for so long so I will end it here but if you read to here know this is absolutely something you should read. 5 out of 5

Real jewel I stumbled upon here. Easily one of the best on the site. The characters are fleshed out and the world building is superb

Nice story with good pacing, interesting premise and world, and a solid underlying plot hierarchy. Writing is well balanced and not overly focused on specific aspects and makes good use of contrasting external perspectives.

This story is great, my absolute favorite right now. It even inspired me to start writing myself.
The only downside is the time I have to wait between chapters ;)

A terrible thing happened! A found this novel and have binged all there is so far! I honestly cannot remember the last time I fell in love with a story so much. Mystery, romance, world building, and incredible fantasy. I love fantasy so much, but so many authors forget the magic that can be created. So much creativity can be expressed, but rarely is. Keene has created a wonderful world that I just want to know more of. &Nbsp; If there is only one down side, its that I read it too early. The plot and story are moving quite slowly, but I really enjoy this pace it’s setting. I think it will really pay off in the long run, I just hope it doesn’t cause burnout for how big I feel like this story will be. I don’t know if I should put it away for half year and fall in love again when I come back to binge read more. I don’t think I’ll last though.

This novel has one glaring flaw. It ends (or would be). The audacity to write something this good in a limited quantity!

Really good reading material. The characters are interesting and have a good degree of soul in each one of them. The story flows well and the MC is that good kind of op. Unfortunately has a bit of a loose mouth and already told someone they're not only from another world but that the 'mechanics' of the new world were part of a game - thats a major turn down to me. But it's still a very good story even with that minor setback
5/5 would recommend
