In 1847, Yucatán witnessed a violent uprising known as the Caste War. Years of mistreatment and resentment towards the Maya people led to a bloody revolt against the white population. The city of Valladolid was looted and destroyed by the Maya, forcing many to flee to Mérida. Those who remained in Valladolid were killed, leaving the city abandoned, where plants started growing among the ruins.

Francisco Salomé, a Creole son of a Spanish family, survived the attack in Valladolid and took refuge in Mérida. As a child, he saw the horror and death of his parents, and now he lives with the constant trauma of that night. The conflict of the Caste War threatens to spread to Mérida.

In Mérida, Francisco was taken in by a Spanish family, where he met Alicia, a Creole who always takes care of him with kindness. However, his life gets complicated when he meets a mysterious woman in the park, who will bring unexpected problems.

Moreover, Mérida is disturbed by strange events at night: a killer who takes advantage of social unrest, leaving clues about his next victims, and rumors of black magic, witches, and supernatural beings.
