Luna Ashflow is not the type of girl one would typically expect. At the very least, not internally. In her previous existence, she was a despondent young man, a solitary individual who had once made an effort to rescue someone's life but tragically ended up being shot and killed in the process. Upon awakening, she finds herself reincarnated in a new world on the verge of transformation and war. To navigate this changing landscape, she must learn the language and secrets of this world to support her new family and confront the challenges brought about by the imposing crisis that looms overhead. While also striving to build upon her new identity and purpose so that she could leave a lasting impression on this second chance at life.
A slow-burn take on the isekai genre.

The author creates an interesting world u can escape into. First part is kind of a wholesome isekai and second part is like a peasant pov of the ww2 eastern front. Some of the countries sound similar to irl ones but there are no obvious ideological agendas or hot-takes/lectures on current events that pull you out of the story, it's just good fiction. Criticism: sometimes I feel like characters withhold information for no other reason than to be mysterious. To the author: I hope u keep writing ?

Let me preface my glowing review by saying that this serial likely isn't for everyone. The first volume is a slow and usually wholesome isekai that has dark undertones. The main character is definitely a mary sue, but in a way I can enjoy it, mainly through careful setup and slow growth. If I had to connect it to a story I've read a lot of, it would be UTDEM, and it very successfully sets up similar tones. The thing that truly has my attention about this story is the way that it changes at the end of the first volume.
As you near the second volume, the dread of war hangs over the story. The parallels to the first world war are obvious, and the encroaching dread as you watch the worlds pressure build is delightful. Then the pen drops, and everything changes. The story changes to what I would personally describe as tasteful isekai horror. The dread turns to terror, and the world around our MC turns from a slow rustic countryside to a rushing river of unavoidable horror dragging the MC and her family further and further downstream.
