Technique

A Technique is a certain move or skill that swordsmen use to counter the opponents.
Certain families use their set of unique Techniques and there are those who discover and invent their own original ones to use on their chosen style of swordsmanship.

Technique Chain

A Technique Chain or a Chain of Techniques, is a consecutive chain of moves that is meant to be used as a set, in a particular order.

Secret Arts

A Secret Art is a type of special technique that's executed using the Saku Energy that's flowing inside one's body.
The materialisation of a swordsman's imagination.
Each Secret Art is defined by the type of ability the swordsman has and for it to be obtained and execute correctly,a different type of Special Training for each one is essential.
Certain families have their own set of Secret Arts to be used by future generations.

Special Training

A certain type of training that expands the Saku Energy of a person and varies for each separate individual.
It's purpose is the materialisation of a Secret Art.

Saku Energy

Another type of energy contained inside an individual's body.
Identical to that of the life force, Saku Energy is what people also refer as Ki or Chakra.

It's founder Saku Ishin was the first to obtain the energy making him the first ever swordsman which also gave his family the popularity it has today.
