For a snake to transform into a dragon, it must undergo nine transformations, each involving life and death.
The old snake accidentally devoured an immortal, gaining the method of the True Dragon's Nine Transformations.
Starting with its scales, it then embarked on the path of transforming into a dragon and ascending to immortality...
The snake is highly lovable, the many characters he meets as well. The pacing and action are spectacular. The grammar and chapter structure is smooth and flows well. The snake pretty much lives in perpetual danger (he is not a human - he is in the wilderness), so every chapter is practically struggle of some-sort with rarely moments of peace for the little guy. But it is the cultivation world and you most take risk to become an immortal... that is in direct parallel to his mind set as he, in the beginning, is extremely frightful of everything he is unsure he can devour in one go, mostly humans due to a traumatic experience. This is where the character development shines. He continues to strive and overcome obstacles that happen upon him for good or worse. He grows from this maturing his nature as well as advancing his cultivation. The interaction and perspective changes he goes through from being a mindless beast to a sentient snake with attachments, complex desires, fears, sorrows, and goals is well devised. A VERY GOOD BINGE. —Absolutely love this LN.
