Children have gone missing, and the same unknown entity has gruesomely murdered a high-ranking Noble. There are rumors about the wrath of Gods, a vengeful ghost wreaking havoc as more and more evil happens even in broad daylight on the streets, and a rumor is going about a curse lying on the Kingdom.
There is a need for an Expert, so the Emperor unwillingly sends a letter to Prison.
There is only one known to man who can still help and may solve what is happening: a prisoner with a cursed Name—the last remainder of a past many wish they had forgotten.
Zhang Jing.
For me, the highlight of this story is definitely the MC of this story, who is really entertaining. Early on, the author builds a lot of curiosity about her. About who she is, what she's already done, and what her magical abilities are. It's immediately clear there are a lot of past events that are still relevant today. Both in the world and in the relationships between the characters. Furthermore, the worldbuilding so far is cewl; interesting magic, interesting civilization. I like.I would advise the author to keep working on grammar. But that doesn't diminish the fact I'm curious about how this story will unfold!

I've never read a xianxia novel except for Beware of Chicken, so this surprised me. It reads like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, with added fantasy elements that I've heard are typical in xianxia stories. Zhang Jing is arrogant, but it fits her so well as someone who is also cunning and brave. The antagonists are also interesting, feeling like they really are from the Qing Dynasty, always paranoid about some godlike assassin coming to take their heads.
The style is great and readable, but some paragraphs were too long and should be shortened in the future. The grammar is also solid, though there were several spelling errors like "mahogani" and "messanger."
Otherwise, I see quite some potential in this story. Keep up the good work! ?

This is a surprisingly interesting novel. The premise is certainly interesting enough. A highly intelligent and powerful woman turned mad is needed by the very man who put her in prison. How she will proceed further and how she will recover, is anyone's guess at the moment.
On the Writing style, it is quite good. The flow of Writing is very nice with almost non-existent spelling mistakes.
IN just one or two chapters, we are uniquely introduced to four interesting characters.
Overall, Based on my current read, I would recommend giving this novel a try. 5/5.
