Its not a bad story but it’s difficult for me to read. Idk it always feels like the story is just slightly off center. Its close to what I consider a good story but keeps tripping before it gets there. 

I really wanted a power couple dynamic But he is too weak and mina doesn't get enough screen time. Like what was the point of the school? There are plenty of ways to better his reputation and having a mini highschool arc felt weak.

The op pet sidekick was a pretty strange addition as well, like why? The story didnt need another main character, would rather that time go to mina

Than the weird mix of the Chinese cultivation vibes with tranditional fanasty elements is way too overwhelming! Pick your magic system and stick with it! You cant just have all of them!

Im on chapter 74 and the OG main characters still havent showed up. Im feeling a little frustrated. I feel like the story isnt written well enough to justify the slow pacing of the story.

So I wanted to write a review of this novel just to boost it but somehow I always forgot or wanted to see some plot be finished and never got the chance. But since the author is back (setting up fireworks and celebrating in the backyard) I think it`s the best time to do it.

Short version: if u like reincarnated into a different world, Action, Romance (no harem thx the goddesses), comedy, a little bit of slice of life a family-oriented MC, and some crazy characters whit a plot that actually makes sense then just start reading and u not gonna regrate it :)

Long story (i will not go into details about the plot, world-building, and site character only for the MC because its the defying future of mos of the books and can be the factor do u wanna read it or not)

About the plot, I will not say much. A lot of things are still shrouded in mystery yet u always know what's happening and for what reason, so u will not get confused about where the things are going whit some good old plot twist her ant there (this does not include the last 8-10 chapters which is a cluster-f**k the emotion and the actions of the characters ar all over the place and some even out of character or just become static backgrounds where they need to act). It has cliche, yes but which story doesn't have those at least the author tries to portray them in different ways and not overuse them. The world-building is actually in my opinion pretty vivid u know what u need to know and the time u need to know it whit some history of the world slowly reviling itself. So about that, I have no complaints. On the side character department, I have a lot of complaints. The author loves to ad unnecessary emotional package and backstory where it's not needed and not enough screen time to those that are actually part of the story. And I think that is something that should be fixed it would also give a more comprehensive wive of why they act the way they  act. Also, it has a lot of humor in it which in the beginning serv  as way to lighten up the darker tone of the story yet I felt that in the last 10 chapters or even 20 it got out of hand and the story become a parody instead of a darker theme story whit humor.

Now about the mc 

He starts out as the typical reincarnated guy that only wants to avoid his dead flag and live a normal boring life (idiots) . But slowly he starts to accept his family as his own and the world around him. And that is his best characteristic>he is a family man to the bone, he would rather stay home and play whit his family than try to be the strongest man alive yet that is the reason why he needs to get stronger, he has all the characteristic that any annoying hero has that have been reincarnated from modern times but slowly he started to grow out of it as he matures and as the story progresses starts to shape him into a proper antihero. Unfortunately till this chapter, he is still far away from that, and somewhere it also stops, he lacks some arrogance, ruthlessness, and determination to step on others when needed and he still has the most annoying characteristic that whit an apology he would leave things be (as Mina mother sad he is too kind for his own good until tragedy comes). So all in all he is a decent character whit a lot of potential which I hope will be seen sooner than later or never.

site note: my favorite character is Mina but she is always restricted to become a true antihero just as we saw it int the last few chapters.

So all in al the story should go back to the roots and become darker whit the comedy to unbalance it, Mina to get her Restriction of, and Cole to become a true antihero

Compared to a lot of other novels on this site, this is written well. However it is still lacking in depth whether it is characterisation or the plot itself (which in turn so far seems like an emulation of Trash of the Counts Family). A lot of events like the 'romance' and the 'flashbacks' seem a bit rushed and the chapters are quite short. Overall, I think it could with a rewrite to push this up to 5 stars imo. Definitely has a lot of potential so keep up the work author but unfortunately for me, I think I'll have to get off the ride here.
