"My name is Arthur Callon and I’m a loser. I’m what most people would call a loser at least. If you picture a loser: A 24 year old fat-ass living alone spending all his extra barely over minimum wage job money on junk food, and video games. I watch anime too much, I sleep all day if I'm not working, I only talk to people on the internet, and I obviously have never had a girlfriend or even kissed a girl. Seeing how losers aren't exactly heroic, how the hell am I standing here buck naked in this forest after just talking to a god?"
With no direction, no ambition, and no clue how to find either of those things, Arthur, the "hero", stumbles through a mildly twisted fantasy world with only the power to reset his body every 24 hours. It's like a video game but everything actually hurts and everything is more than willing to actually hurt him. What's a guy like him to do in a situation like that? The only answer is to move forward and try his best not to suffer horribly at the hands of fate.
As of the above chapter, frankly speaking, this story is a hidden gem. The idea is interesting and is carried out well.
The writing is great and the main character has "personality". The struggle is nice and as the perspective is very original, I find the oncoming events unexpectable and look forward to the next chapter.
I would rate it 5/5.
One thing that I am interested in, is if the cover is original? If it is fake, then that is unfortunate and as such does not do justice to the story. Anyhow, I suppouse the author knows what they are doing and that the cover is original?
If so, forgive me as I have no intention of any kind of slander. I merely wish for this amazing story to grow and prosper, that is splendidly. I will be eyeing it whenever I have time, when it is being continued for now, at least.
If you are deciding whether to read the story? Try it! You will not be disappointed. (At least the first few chapters are good! *Wink wink*)
