Aphelele Ade, future Conqueror Queen of the Savannah ascends to her first class. However, instead of being the warrior queen she should be, one god has chosen to take her destiny from her. After stirring up too much trouble and being told her destiny would never be fulfilled she attempts to take her makeshift family and leave.
Taking one of her mates, this Hyenakin Queen flees her old ways as she is irrevocably changed by the whims of Hathor. Knowing there must be a way to embrace this change of heart Aphelele heads to civilization, to the grand Adventuring Academy of Delverton. There she can learn the new way of life demanded of her.

Everything about this story is amazing and I can’t wait to see where it goes. There are some things in the early bits with the gods that don’t really make a whole ton of conventional sense but I’m willing to hand wave that away because everything else is S tier, especially the smut, perfect. Also like how the author doesn’t shy away from from brutal themes or topics, makes the fantasy feel authentic and you can actually say to yourself “this is a different way of life and these people think differently than I do, and that’s okay because that’s all they’ve ever known”. Looking forward to the academy stuff as hinted at in the synopsis!

The writing is good, the more vanilla smut scenes are well done and I do like the setting.
Now for the spoilers of the first ten chapters or so (nothing too deep, I do recommend you give it a read though.
While I didn't want to read about a rapist as protagonist, the whole personality mindwipe in order for her NOT to be a rapist was undeserving as hell, as f**ked up as it sounds. At the end of the day there are plenty of f**ked up sh*t that different races do to each other, so the whole redemption premise feels cheap considering that from her entire race's perspective, their way is the right way.
Not to mention having to read about a god who waited until the supposed champion was all grown up BEFORE preparing her to change the nature of her entire race. Ah, yes, and not only did the god wait until she was grown up, but also penalizes her constantly and hinder the very growth she needs to usurp the queen and cause the change 'needed'
Wanting a protagonist that goes through redemption is all well and good but you gotta see how it looks from the readers perspective. As it stands:
1. The protagonist isn't actually going through redemption as she hasn't done anything wrong in the first place (in their perspective)
2. The change itself was literally a manual mindwipe done by a goddess who arbitrarily chooses the protagonist in a much too late fashion, especially when she was already going to be chosen by her actual god first anyway.
3. So having that all in mind, sure, we all know she will eventually succeed as she IS the protagonist, but the whole premise and foundation of it all is extremely flawed and nonsensical, especially considering that the decisions are made by actual gods.
For the finishing thoughts. I genuinely think this could turn out into a really good novel, but the reason for her... change, severely needs a rewrite, same for the explanations and the god's reasons and such.
Regardless of the why, wiping someone's personality like that, especially a protagonist's that you would want readers to either relate to or root for, is never the right call.

Very strong opening and premise. We get what the main character is about from the get go and the hilarious yet maddening twist is an interesting idea for a warrior.
