The first character we find inside the Box. He has an older brother, Steven, who is in the military.
He turns into a woman named Jessica and it is suggested Steven was KIA. He/she remember having the last name "Hatch".
Jessica. Seth experiments with other names, like Sethica, before settling on Marlise based on her connection with Marley.
A geeky, anime and D&D nerd who appears inside the Box to Seth.
Later, Isaac is turned into Marlise and thinks her last name is "Hatch". She loses her memory later as well.
A woman who appears to Isaac and Seth with a penchant for explosives and hair that constantly covers her left eye.
This version of Marley is revealed to be a fake, although real Marley has aggressive, suppressed feelings involving explosives despite being demure and afraid of hard swearing.
Marley shares a deep and caring connection with Seth/Marlise.
An unknown presence inside the Box.
Claims that it is the master of the Box space and holds the "souls" of the others in its control
Another person inside the Box along with Seth. He's a light-hearted, strong individual.
She looks exactly like Seth's decease brother, Steven, a soldier who was killed in action.
An angry and violent inhabitant of the Box who thinks he's been kidnapped from his chateau.

This story is wonderful. It's a big old puzzle and you keep thinking you've got something figured out only to realise your imperfect information had led to imperfect conclusions over and over. The characters and their change, growth and resilience are amazing, and the villain (no spoilers here) is phenomenal and just how I would imagine certain people irl going about things.
when reality itself is mutable what can you trust? Yourself, and your friends? Perhaps?
anyways this is a fantastic story and the ending is a perfect payoff, so don't be afraid to give it a read - I'm sure you'll love it just as much as I did!!
I read it over 3 days or so at an easy pace and it was the first thing I picked up when I had a free moment.
PS MajorKerina has done a phenomenal job setting tone, scene and tension in this book. 5 stars for sure.
