Races
Human

The standard Human. Comes in all different skin tones, hair colors, and eye colors. Is considered an adult at the age of 15.

Koena

Humanoids covered from head to toe in scales. These scales can be any color. Koena are also born with the ability to circulate their organs inside their body. If they move their lungs in a circle, a Koena can use Pulmoni Oxygeni. A technique designed to increased blood and oxygen flow to enhance their strength and stamina.

Some Koena are born with three or four lungs, but those are rare.

Singi

Cat people—plain and simple. Their ears, hair, and tail do not have to be the same color.  A tri-colored Singi is rare, but they do exist.

Singi are naturally gifted in the department of speed and agility. Thus, it makes sense that they're often take up the role of a forward scout.

Kobold

A war loving race that are capable of using skills.

They aren't the smartest, but they are the strongest, physically, amongst the skill using races.  They have alligator-like mouths and tails, and their huge bodies are made up of a mix of scales, fur, and skin.  They're usually green, but they come in different colors.

In the Kobold culture, a child is considered an adult when they turn 5.  Their bodies never stop growing, but it does slow down dramatically to where they grow less than a millimeter a year. Long life span.

Most Kobolds are crazy about war and battle, but not all share that sentiment.

Elf

They have pointy ears, and are often slim, tall, and flat-chested. An Elf isn't considered an adult until they have mastered and built their own bow. It isn't rare for an Elf to take up a vow of vegetarianism and denounce all things that can't be found in nature.

One such example is Dineria. She creates and weaves her own clothes, refuses to use anything metal, and doesn't eat meat.

Earth Elf

One of the races of the world that are capable of using skills.

Earth Elves are the same as regular Elves with the exception of their skin color.  Earth Elves' skin tones are darker, almost like dirt or mud, but they can be the color of sand.

Basically, they're the Dark Elf equivalent, appearance wise, but that's where the similarities stop.  Elves and Earth Elves don't hate each other. It's not like they immediately start killing each other on sight. For the most part, they're the same race, but there are a few minor differences.

Dwarf

Short, stocky, and likes to get drunk. Most males have scratchy impressive beards.  Most Dwarves, if they don't join Warden, choose to take up blacksmithing and learn from a master smith. For those that go this route, they aren't considered an adult until they have created their own armor and weapon.

Main Characters
Servi (Illustration)

Servi

The main character.  She woke up next to a forest with no memories. Servi isn't even sure her name is Servi, but she rolls with it. Upon making it to Canary, she realizes she couldn't read signs or understand the language being spoken. Eventually, after failing to find someone to talk too, she steals food and runs away, but her hand is cut off. Servi dashes out of Canary with the guards on her trail, and she leads them to a horde of flying monsters. These monsters kill Servi and the pursuing guards, and this is how she meets Itarr.

Servi suffers from a violent tendency. She has no qualms about killing enemies or anyone that gets in her way.

At the end of Book Four, Servi and Momo take the next step in their relationship and make love. Later on, Itarr joins in, and the three of them share a wonderful night together.

---Power---

Her primary source of power comes from Itarr's power of Absorption, which manifests in the form of a red ring. With it, Servi can take the souls of the people she kills and use their strength as her own.  Whatever skills they knew, like Fire Wall or Fireball, becomes her own to use.  Her unique situation also enables her to do what she calls 'Skill Stacking.'  Essentially, the number of souls in her ring is the number of times she can 'stack' a skill and increases its effectiveness. However, that number is multiplied by two because Itarr is capable of using skills.

But it's not just skills.  Servi also inherits some of the soul's physical attributes, like strength and speed, but the percent of power gained is dictated by the level of Absorption.

At 1%, she gains only 1% of physical strength from a soul.  At 2%, she gains 2% percent of a soul's strength..  Each soul's strength is divided into 100 locks. With each level in Absorption, another lock is released.

Itarr

The Goddess whose soul is inside of Servi.  Being a Goddess, she has powers far above anything a mortal can wield.  Those being the power of True Immortality and the power of Absorption.  The first is self-explanatory.  She and Servi are unable to die.  Absorption is the power to take in the souls of those they kill.  They get a portion of their strength, as well as any skills the soul knows.

She is loving and caring. Eventually, Servi, Itarr, and Momo fall in love with each other.

Spoiler

It is revealed that Itarr was subtly manipulating Servi's emotions to keep her happy and smiling, but this backfired because the corralled emotions ran rampant and let loose Servi's sadistic side. This manifested itself in Book Three when Momo gets kidnapped. And due to this overloading of emotions, Itarr became unable to do anything except be along for the ride. She has since learned from her mistakes and vows to change into someone Servi would be proud to love.

[collapse]

Momo (Illustration)

Momo!

Main character, and shows up when Servi joins Warden.  Cheerful and meek, she's an oxymoron of emotions due to her backstory, which I can't get into because of spoilers.  With pink hair that reaches to below her shoulder blades, her head is adorned with a set of adorably cute pink cat ears, and a pink tail that seems like it has a mind of its own.

Her most prized possessions are her grandpa's bag, which is a black messenger bag enchanted with Dimensional Storage, and his silver longsword.  He gave her the two items when she left to go to the city of Canary, which is the city he went to when he joined Warden.  She is following in his footsteps.

She grows tremendously, both mentally and physically, throughout the story.

Book Two Spoiler

Spoiler

Deep in the recesses of Momo's mind lives a girl.  She looks the same as Momo, but with fox ears and a fox tail

Her 'room' is a wide open field of colorful flowers with a wooden table and chairs as decoration.  She's been with Momo since the day she was born, though Momo just become recently aware of that fact.

She seems to know more than what she lets on, but Momo doesn't feel any anger or hatred coming from her.  If anything, the mysterious girl seems to radiate love and warmth.

Girl in Momo's consciousness

Momo visits her when she passes out from her wounds she sustained when fighting Blaire in the Warden tournament in Book Two..  They can't talk, but they write letters back and forth while they sit at the table.

Momo eventually wakes up and realizes Servi is awake.  They hug and talk, and Momo learns that she is in the finals due to her would-be opponents forfeiting. Momo has a heart to heart with Servi and they promise to have dinner when they come back from their promotion quest.  Momo's final opponent is Srassa, and Momo wins the entire tournament.

[collapse]

The entire events of Book Three occurs after Momo experiences a moment of weakness and runs away from Servi, who needed her the most.

At the end of Book Three, Momo makes a promise to Itarr to watch and protect Servi until her mind is healed.

At the end of Book Four, Momo and Servi take their relationship to the next level and share a passionate night together. When Itarr acquires a body, Itarr joins in on the relationship.

Carrie

A Singi with red hair, red ears, red tail, and blue eyes. Her weapon of choice is a spear that seems like it was created by chipping away at some material instead of being forged from metal.  It consists of a single piece, meaning the tip is part of the shaft.  It is all black.

She is blessed by Lokar, a Major God of Wind who granted her a skill called Instant Retrieval.  By marking an item with her blood, she can call it from anywhere by spending Skill Energy.  The further the distance from Carrie and her weapon, the more Skill Energy she has to spend.

Book Three Spoiler

Spoiler

She holds the rank of 9th in the Mafia, which one only one above 10th, the lowest rank that is considered a leader.  She is Servi's and Old Man's handler, who gives them missions to complete.  Carrie is paying Servi money to sleep with her, and Servi uses her unique way of pleasuring to coerce Carrie into spilling info about the Mafia.

As Book Three progresses, Carrie eventually falls for Servi. It is odd because no one had ever gotten close enough to look past her brutal personality and crude way of speaking to see the frightened girl buried deep inside.

Carrie's past is eventually revealed within a dream-like sequence. Her life was horrible and filled with agony, heartbreak, and betrayal. Because of what she had to live through, Carrie developed a second personality.

There was Vali-- the original personality who killed her father, and the people of her village-- out of rage for what they done to her.

That gave birth to Carrie--the outer personality, who embodied the very definition of 'roughness.'

But even though Servi had managed to crash through Carrie to set eyes on Vali, Servi didn't want any of that. She hates the Mafia, and she wants nothing more than to personally slaughter each and every member. That was why Servi sometimes sues Kaasuvuoto, a skill which emits gas, to put Carrie to sleep. Servi then punches, kicks, and nearly kills Carrie, but all of the injuries are healed. Carrie's none-the-wiser to what is actually going on.

At the end, Carrie is only spared death because Momo chose that moment to rouse from her slumber. Servi was distracted just long enough for Carrie to slip away, and instead of giving chase, Servi runs back to Momo.

Villians
Parrel
First born son of Virin Keywater, the emperor of Keywater.  He was cast out from his empire and disowned from his birthright in order to live in Lando as part of a peace-treaty from when Keywater overstepped its boundaries and invaded Lando. The incident isn't very well known since both sides wanted to keep it a secret. Because of that, Parrel Keywater had no choice but to become Governor of Canary, a town in south-eastern Lando. His rule and financial plans brought companies and wealth to the once-poor town, turning it into something that thrived. Unfortunately, he did so by way of making backhanded deals, which allowed slavery to run even more rampant.

He was once a loving husband and a fantastic brother to both Claus and Qina, but something happened in the ten years he had been gone. During that time, he became violent and brutal.

Book One Spoiler.

Spoiler

Was ultimately killed by Liealia and Llamare, two Earth Elves who wanted to free the slaves trapped in Canary.  Servi assisted them, and they were ultimately successful in their mission. Claus Keywater, Parrel's younger brother, was ordered by their father to take up the mantle of Governor and continue to make Canary as rich a city as possible.

He agreed to do so since he had no choice but to accept, but a part of him wanted to question why his father wanted to make a town that wasn't even in his empire a success. It later crossed his mind that Virin Keywater had to have a certain pull with Lando's king to even allow Claus to take over as Governor without an election.

The situation was odd, but neither Claus nor Qina were in a spot to ask any questions.

[collapse]

Later on, it was discovered that Parrel was taking Monotonia, a drug solely designed to be completely addictive. This explained why his mental state deteriorated so rapidly.

Sakdu and Roger

Sakdu is a large Kobold that is missing his tail.  Most of his body is encased in dazzling green scales except his hands, which are covered in fur, and his legs, which have patches of pale skin going down them. He is somewhat knowledgeable, making him more intelligent than the average Kobold.

Roger is an Elf who enjoys wearing a white lab coat.  He is the dastardly creator of Monotonia, a drug which is most addictive. He is thin and wears red earrings.

Book Three Spoiler.

Spoiler

Sakdu is the leader of the Mafia.  Roger is the co-creator, and they formed it in order to get revenge on the one man who killed Sakdu's wife and child, destroyed his village, and burned Roger's village to the ground.

When Momo is kidnapped, she is being held within the large, imposing building inside of New Arcton, which is a sanctuary for the truly rich nobles.

He writes Servi a letter, even though Roger says there is now way she will be able to find it. It is this letter that causes Servi to nearly go mad and alter her goal. Instead of rescuing Momo as quick as she can, Servi decides to use the time she is given to bring punishment to Arcton and the Mafia.

The man who burnt down his village and killed his friends and family is Fisher Jin. The Mafia was created just to take him out.

Sakdu and Roger even amass a giant personal army that's over 15,000 strong, and they fall to the might of Servi. Sakdu is tortured by being forced to swallow Pink Monotonia, It instantly poisons his mind, and he falls to its lustful grasp. Sakdu pretty much abandons his entire life's goal from that moment on, even asking Servi to hurt Roger if it meant she would give him the pleasure he wants.

Roger, on the other hand, had a punishment that involved him being forced to watch his oldest friend become a shell of his former self.

Their journey for revenge came to a sudden halt after they pissed off the girl they never should've bothered.

Organizations
Warden

Warden is an organization that allows people to complete quests to learn Potential.  They can then use Potential to learn skills.  The skills they can learn are dependent on their Rank.  For example, if someone was Rank 10, the beginner Rank, they could only learn Rank 10 skills.  If they were Rank 8, then they could learn any skill between Rank 10 and Rank 8, provided they have the Potential.

There are eleven Ranks in Warden.  10 is the beginner rank, and where everyone starts at, and Rank 0 is the lowest, meaning the strongest.  It is only possible for someone to reach Rank 0 if they stop a major threat. If there are no threats to be stopped, then Rank 1 is the lowest.

If someone was born without the Blessing of a God, they could join Warden to learn how to use skills.

Blessing

When a baby is born, they can be Blessed by the Gods above.  If they are, then they are blessed by a Major God or a Minor God.  The God they are Blessed by determine what skills they can use.

To use skills given by a God, one must learn the mechanics behind them.  The trade off is that, technically, it is possible Rank 1 skills as a child.

In addition, some Major Gods can grant Passive Skills that are always on.  Instant Cast, able to be learned via Warden, is an example.

There also exists Major Gods that do not fall into the seven elements.  An example being a Major God of Combat.  The one they bless is given an above average understanding of combat, but no skills.  To learn skills, the one blessed must join Warden.

Another example is a Major God of Medicine. It's on the rarer side, as far as Blessings go, but it bestows an incredible amount of medical knowledge.  This includes which plants and herbs to use to treat and cure illnesses.

Below is a List of every major God introduced in the story.

  1. Yoneia - Qina Keywater - Earth and Light.
  2. Neiayo - Claus Keywater - Fire and Light.
  3. Bahmutia - Virin Keywater - Combat

Adenaford

The capital city of Lando.  Very big and very beautiful, a magnificent castle stands as a symbol of power.  Home to the Lando Royal Family.

Adenaford's most famous attraction is the fabled Lando's Nail. It is a tremendously tall tower that is a hundred floors tall.

No one knows if Adenaford was built around Lando's Nail, or if Lando's Nail was built around the city.

Lando's Nail

Lando's Nail is located within the heart of Adenaford, Lando's capital city. It is an enigma since no one knows how it came to be. It is split into two different halves. The top half is home to a hundred floors. Some of these floors are separated into commercial and residential blocks. Thanks to a state-of-the-art teleporter from Westera, you do not have to climb 65 floors to reach the 65th floor.

Conversely, resting below Lando's Nail is a labyrinth. It has its own 'hub' area. Everything you need is there Everything you need is there, like weapon and armorsmiths, potion brewers, a general store full of generic adventuring items... The labyrinth is rumored to have a hundred floors, but researchers believe it to be deeper than that. Each floor is packed full of monsters that get stronger and stronger as you descend. They say it's because Skill Energy is purer and more heavily condensed the further you go, so that naturally allows more powerful monsters to spawn.

Keywater Empire
Keywater Empire

One of the countries on the continent of Gea.  It is home to the imperial family, and Keyya is the capital city.

Virin Keywater rules the empire.  Blessed with green and blue, like its name suggests, the city is akin to a natural paradise.  Bountiful waterfalls and green plains are the normal.

Keyya

Home to the Keywater Imperial Family, Keyya is the capital city of Keywater. The castle is surrounded by tremendous silver walls that repel any and all would-be intruders who wished to sully it's luster.

At a young age, Claus and Qina Keywater were banished from the city and the Keywater family. Later, they returned after reaching Rank 1 in Warden.

Westera
Westera

Note: Since Westera hasn't come up in the story that often yet, this will stay mostly empty.  Will update it later

One of the countries on the continent of Gea.  Is much more focused on the mechanical side of things.

    Status: book two - chapter 10 -...

    I liked this story.

    Liked.

Book one was fantastic. Characters, story, pacing, it all worked and made sense.

Book two undid all of that.

Character convictions become flimsy. The entire arc up until chapter 10 is entirely pointless in the long run and really should have focused more heavily on Momo for it's purpose of character building, which it does not. It backtracks on a pretty major character trait with no explanation. And forgiveness, really isn't a yes/no question, well, unless it's here, where a single good deed means you are worthy of redemption even if you're a mass murderer. And if you kill a murderer or worse, why, you're no better than them.

Anyway book 1 is fine but honestly just stop there, book 2 isn't worth reading and if you're like me, will ruin this novel for you, as; guilt can kill an immortal, and revenge is only ok as long as the target of revenge has never done anything nice ever, and has no friends or family. Sorry victims of torture, slavery or s*xual assault, the perpetrator has a family and likes puppies, so there's nothing to be done about them.

    Status: book 3 chapter 3

This book deserves far more attention then it is getting. The grammar and spelling are excellent, with mistakes here and there that the author so far has shown that they are dedicated to fixing. The author has also shown that they have a very clear outline for the plot going forward, speaking of which so far is quite good and interesting. The main characters are very complex and likeable, It seems like if there is some inconsistency or problem with a characters actions or thoughts, then there is a reason given for it eventually.

Possible issues someone might have with the novel is the amount of gore and general horribleness that happens, sometimes to an exaggerated degree. It generally doesn't bother me personally, but it is a very dark world in places.

Status: (Finale) Book Two – Chapter 11 – Part...

First sorry for my spelling and English its not my native language.

So This is the update after reading thru book2. whel in one part I want to drop the series but some how I got it thrue. What can I say I had high expectation for this one some come true some not. If I need to rate it its hard, why ?This is gonna be a long one. The rating gose like this. Book 1 and book 2 as one I give it 4 stars. Book 2 till chapter 10 part 1 5 stars after thet 2 stars reasons down below (let just say author forced one character in a way it is no logical, no build up nothing) whit minnior spoilers, gonna try to make blue box for heavy spoilers.

So u got  a dark more adult like book1 then the author drops u down to some place where every one is happy, slice of lifes tory (like all the japanies light novels whit there happy illogical thinking). Like waching GOT or WD and in next scene u see Snow White. And its not bad to change and it was even needed for character development and to introduce  new characters.. but still it`s like the world build in book one went to waste, at least that the people could talk about what they think of the  Nightly Stroll and the new characters opinion would be game changing to see Servie`s reaction to them, and the aftermath of the Nightly Stroll how the city changes etc... that would balance out the to much fluffy stuff and to feel u are in the continuation of the first book (bits and there where like some talks but nothing important or game changing what u would expect from lets be honest after a terrorist attack) dont get me wrong it was a god book even whit the flufiffnes until one point (blue box down below)

U got introduced to  some new characters and all of them had personalities, not just shallow side characters like in most of the books. And also the interaction between Servie, Momo and the rest felt normal not forced (except one person). The new characters also helped Servie but Momo the most to grow and u can se her in this book as she starts to mature a bit and also gain some self confidence. An the rest of the side characters can add so much to the story (i miss the elf couple and the magic Singi from book one) Even the villain  had the complete backstory this time

So now go to why I give it the second half 2 stars and what ruins this book. Its gonna be long and try to explain as much as I can

    Spoiler

Fhiser Jin the villain and the hero. Till Chapter 10 part 1 I got no problem whit the book but then author dose somthing that is out of character he forces a character in relationship that is illogical and out of place just for plot development. Let me explain first fisher backstory a bit.

Fisher has the most complex backstory so far has a wife and 2 young daughter. All of his actions in the past makes him evil killing innocent Demihumans from children to adults, out of anger and hate for his paste where his village was killed from demihuman bandids. In book one he is the one whit the guy that cut`s off the ear of the demihumen slave children and he watch his friend do it and after he give the sword to Fisher, so every one think he did it. (author use this as an excuse later remember this part) later on he defeat his inner demons and come to term whit him self and his past and try to change.

So except from that he did not get any punishment I got no problem whit the character. The illogical part starts here. Servie tries to kill fisher and come in to a state where she lost control of her emotions and became consumed by rage. Fisher tries to tell his past and story but Servie is out only itar is listening. So she helps fisher lowering the immortality so fisher can use slipping gas on here. An the downfal starts here. After servie woks up Itar tels here Fisher story and also say they can trust him. So fisher and servie talk and just like that out of nowhere Servie forgive Fisher becous it was a misunderstanding after he tels him it was not him that cut the ears of the children? (my point of wiev.. WTF he had the pover, autorithie to stop him doin it but he just wached so he is as much as guilte than his friend no misunderstanding). Then next illogical thing servie apologies to Fisher for the killling atempt because it was a MISUNDERSTANDING. They make up and from ther on servie and the author make fisher a hero, good guy in every ones eye. And thets not enough the momment they go hunting just the 2 together servie tells most of her secrets including Itar to fisher, then the aouthor even put them like they have common past and out of nowhere they have tactical understanding just buy eye contact (for my question he sad they both kild children) I can argue and I will (call me insane) fisher killed becose of hatred and fear whyle Servie bag and cry so she dose not have to kill them (i dont make here a saint hell she can be the finnal boss for momo if she goes the wrong phat but still... no common past here and actuly servie even saved the maid because she was innocente) Servie tell his children that their father is a hero ho sawed here life, and try to make him look god from there on etc... even go so far that even Momo thinks Fisher as a friend and a nice guy in inner monolog. Evre thing that happens is forced no build up just happens so plot can go on and Fisher is made an idol. its IRITATING. al the other carachter feals natural then author had to do this where everething is FORCED whit Fisher, I dont know what is the point in him being so close to Servie but if is to healp him in some way pore job, this ruined the book completely, if u made him slowlie gain here trust and forgivnnes like u made every other character whyt care I would have no problem but its like thanos came made a snap and everithyng changed just so u can put Fisher on the spot

    [collapse]

After all this I have no expectation for book 3 just hope and hope and hope oh and about the necromanice, it can ruin the book if the MC can bring bag all the dead people, it will make killing and dead miningles. To many books been ruined that way whit resurrection spells just saying

    Bok1 rewiev

i wanted to write a review like every one, whit story, characters etc.. but I cant so gonna just write down what emotions I got from this book. So lets start whit a big 5 star from me for the first book. Dont get me wrong this book has lots of flows but still the dark settings that make u feel u wanna blow up the city, the MC Servi whit here ruthless approach for the things she things is wrong  and acting on here emotions is refreshing.I love her attitude, and if she stay this way and author dos not change her into a typical hero she will be my no 1 on this site. lot of people complain about the dark and gorre but it is what helps you understand the world shes in and for me its not disturbing and hope author will not ton down on it, I will not say about momo much just that she has the most potential for growth bot emotional and mentally. the Twins....i dont know what to say about them, they are idiots at least no logic for there actions and I don, t even wanna go in to it because its irittates me to think of them and there guardians Veris and Trerk. And 1 last flaw is the lack of the villains personality, and to much put on Morality of killing the bad guys . Come on we are in a fantasy world not in modern day Earth,

So yeh this is what I get from book 1, waiting to finish book 2 then blink read it

Status: book three – chapter eight – part...

This story had potential, but as of my writing it is suffering from some glaring flaws that have only exacerbated since book 2.

That isn’t to say the story is without merit. The world building, especially throughout book 1, is exceptional at times. Most of the reason I managed to read as far as the current chapter is due to how fascinating those moments proved to be.

It took me a long while to express the problems with this tale. At first I thought it might be the characterizations, but that isn’t quite right, there are a plethora of instances where characters that appear to be nothing but side characters have entire three part arcs dedicated to a rich fleshing out of their background. Then I thought it was the brutal and horrific events that were peppered throughout, but it would be unfair to claim that as a flaw with such an upfront disclaimer on the matter in the prologue. No, the issue is pacing. With a combination of the slow burn pacing and its long chapters on dark subject matter, it seems to me that this story is trying to hurt its readers. I’m quite certain that with the decent gap between parts being published it would be unnoticeable to those following it for a long time, but in the short period I fought up to the current chapter It was became blatantly clear that this story is almost torture porn. Nearly the entirety of the book three is a problem.

The first chapter or so spit out all the warning signs that things will get bad, I was prepared. The previous book had touched on things such as unhealthy dependency, murder and physiological issues. I have read worse. Book three is nearly non-stop madness, laughing, crying and torture from where I am. That is the problem, non-stop. If there were light breaks and focuses that allowed the reader to rest from all the killing and pain this turn of events would be absolutely fine. But, as of my writing, there are barely a paragraph of text between the words die or kill. It is a shame, I likely would have stuck with this story if this weren’t the case- the autocorrect errors can be forgiven, the strange views on relationships can easily be given a pass, the focus on mental illness could even be lauded. The reader needs to be given a reason to believe things will get better though, even if it is false. After reading what I’m sure was more than 20, 000 words about a mental break and the foreshadowing leading up to it, I’m stepping off this train before it crashes in the station.

I won’t say this is a bad story. I will say that I hope the author is alright, this kind of writing does things to people.

To begin this review, I really like this story.

In the beginning, I was given the impression this would be another cliche story about some overpowered protag who only could do good, but I was quickly proven wrong. Over the chapters I've read, I found the characters endearing, yet not without glaring flaws. Each side has it's own motivators and reasoning that can't be completely refuted (Excluding the Slave masters, f**k them), and even if a select few are unreasonable, they're understandable coming from a emotion standpoint. The story gradually changed into one of acceptance, change, and relationships branching off each character. The wrong grammar is so simple to ignore, that I barely find it necessary to mention in a review. I also find the long chapters nice to binge (If you're like me) or take at your own pace one chapter at a time since they come out daily.

Anyways, great story so far :D

Great story. With the exception of book 3, everything was written well, and the reason book 3 was my least favorite is because I'm not a big fan of grim dark themes, not that grim dark is a bad thing, just not my  thing.

I'm not sure why some people didn't like book two, but the only part of it that I didn't like was that last match with Servi, but I understand the reasoning behind it, so it wasn't a bad thing.

There is one thing that I think makes less sense than it probably does; and that's how Itarr can't communicate with Servi through their thoughts, after all, they share a soul.
