Maugus(The Preserver) was defeated by the other two members of the Supreme Gods Trinity in a war over faith by; Brom(The Creator) and Siva(The Destroyer). To save his life, he reincarnates as an Earthling.
Ahan, an aimless webnovel writer, finds out that he is the reincarnation of a god from another world. He has lost a war over faith, all of his believers killed and his territory and kingdom divided between the gods. On top of that, he now has to save his last believer, or face death.
This is the tale of an earthling-turned-god, who built a battle game server and transported players from Earth straight to the other world using virtual reality, to rise through the ranks of the Gods again, gaining followers and eventually causing another war between the Supreme Gods Trinity: called the Eve of Gods.
“Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.”
"I bow down to the Lord who resides in the hearts of all beings."
So far one of the bests novels I've read.
I'll try to judge the novel rationally, though I might not be able to since I love VR genre and this story is one of my favorites.
The story starts pretty fast, I like that though and I really like VR novels so I guess I didn't bother with it.
The fact that the MC only took 1 chapter to set the VR thing up was, well, it might be because it's
still in Beta and he's still developing it
With the latest chapter
there's a whole new world of posibilities. When a bussinessman appeard I instantly thought of Merchants and Politicians. EvG is a very big world so we''ll have to see how is that developed.
The novel is a bit confusing at the start, when Ahan and Maugus personalities "merge" or rather when Ahan remembers his life as Maugus is all rushed, so if you don't spend a few moments thinking about what happened you'll get confused later on.
The story starts to get better after the game launches. As I, a sucker for VR novels, can read so far this is one of the best VR stories I've read. Since the MC isn't just an OP character in the game. He's literally the GM, and I also like that some of the Beta Players (Players, not Testers lol) are actually relevant to the story (or at least they seem to be so far). And I hope they continue to be ngl, they add a lot of flavour to the story.
I tried to make some complaints about this but I realized I can't lol. I guess I'll have to complain about something then... Gimme more romance, Maugus!!
Go read this if you like VR/Fantasy/Isekai novels, you won't regret.

Interesting take on the fantasy concept by making the MC both god and a game developer, as well as shifting the focus from developer to player. It's still young so there isn't that much to be said, but it definitely has potential!
