I've been binging Naruto fanfiction and saw this at the top of rankings, was excited to give it a try. This is absolutely unreadable and I've read quite a few Chinese web novels, I knew what to expect in terms of grammar. The conversations are ridiculously simplistic, the systems make no sense...

Worst of all is the inability to make any sense in the context of Naruto and of... Life. The protag is an orphanage kid but with a jonin leading it and giving him healing jutsu. His parents are dead and left him more jutsu and an apartment. Danzô comes out of nowhere and presents him self to nicely recruit the kid presenting himself as "Root" although the organization is secret. Tenten has a sister with a talisman shop which randomly let's the protagonist copy fuiinjutsu.

This is all within 10 chapters.

Don't waste your time and go read decent fanfiction.

If you're looking for a story that relies heavily on plot armor and an overpowered system to drive the plot, then this might be the story for you! Unfortunately, I found it increasingly frustrating to read as it progressed. The main character is unlikable, and the secondary characters are intentionally gimped to make the main character appear more impressive.

The story essentially reuses xianxia tropes, but dresses them up with Naruto characters and plot elements. This results in antagonists and secondary characters being portrayed as incompetent and clownish, throwing their original characterizations out the window. The story also uses the trope where background characters constantly praise the main character's actions as "brilliant, " and "amazing, " to show off how much of a genius the main character is despite his actions being obvious or underwhelming.

The pacing is alright, so the plot moves along. Interactions between characters comes off like a kid playing with action figures, and the fight scenes are pretty much the same. Not that they don't try and engage the reader, but they just read as plastic and leave you unsatisfied.

This one is very good, like really good! Time flows reading this one!

The power progression is well done, the characters feel like people, and their personalities are very faithful to the original work. The pacing is fast but really smooth. If you like the original work, I really recommend taking a look at this one.

Easy 5 stars for me! This fanfic is exactly what other fanfics should be doing, adding to the original story and not just placing a MC who does nothing, too scared to change events.

The MC is great, not too op early on and the author has done a awesome job with the power progression. Also the MC isnt an idiot or becomes an idiot to help the author with plot holes. 

If you are looking for a Naruto fic that starts around the time of Kakashi and Guy's generation than this is probably the best I've read.
