I try to keep these character descriptions updated with the main story as it progresses; if you are not on the latest chapter, read at your own risk. However, if you are updated with the story, then you may find bonus little character details which do not make their way into the main story, but which I thought I would include here.
The second introduced co-protagonist of the series. Ten years old. A red-haired nekomimi (Red Catgirl) raised in the life of a slave, she is captured by goblins and by chance picks up and unites with Quinn. Originally four feet in height, after her first evolution to Red-Flamed Lional she grew by about eight inches (142 cm in total), her hair gained golden streaks, and her eyes turned from brown to red.
Supporting character. Forty years old, five foot six inches (168cm) brown hair and eyes; F-cup. A half-inumimi with beagle-like dog ears. Loyal to Anya as an evolved beastkin. Motherly. Former Wet Nurse Slave in service to a noble family. Her aura is an earth-type.
Pseudonym; real name Drew Orleir. Head of Orleir Services, which specializes in areas such as bodyguarding, debt collection, slave trafficking - all the stuff on the shadier side of the law. Has a past with Veilen and Rhiannon. Seven foot one inch (216cm) tall; enemies spread rumours that he has giant blood in him. Has green eyes, blond hair, and a very large build. Has a Toxins aura, which allows him to absorb poisonous material, emit liquid or vaporized toxins, or infuse his aura with specific nasty substances. He is also a master of earth magic, and often fights barehanded. He also possesses a specialized enchanted blade, and several pouches of material.
Member (archer, primary scout) of the C-rank party Demon’s Fright. Twenty-six years old, five foot nine inches (175cm), with dirty-brown hair and green eyes. Human. His aura is an Obscuring aura. Style of fighting is archery, with back-up of a long dagger, and the occasional mix-in of earth magic.
At least, this is the public information.
Third prince of the Kingdom of Neraina. Seventeen years old, five foot ten inches (177cm) in height, curly “golden” hair, blue eyes; generally considered very handsome. Human. A generally strong and charismatic figure who has organised a faction aiming to help the common people, he has an unexpected weakness towards women, which led to him being ensnared by Ventra. His aura is currently unknown.
Dragon. Large, powerful. Full of pride and of devotion to the Demon King; dislikes humans as a general rule. More details, including actual name, currently unknown. Aura currently unknown.
Leader of the C-rank party Demon’s Fright. Twenty-five years old, five foot eleven inches (180cm), with dirty-blond hair and yellow eyes. Human, with a trace of elf ancestry five generations back. Candidate for B-rank adventurer. Style of fighting is spear and wind magic.
Supporting character. Twenty-two years old, five foot ten inches (178cm) and thin, with brown hair and green eyes; D-cup. Human. Originally quite hostile and fearful at Anya, a ‘lesser creature’ who has gained in her eyes terrifying strength, she nevertheless travels with the group out of necessity; current status can be described as 'slightly complicated, but has sworn to serve Anya.' Her aura is a distinct-type focused around healing.
Knight and personal bodyguard of Duke Cernevoss of the Kingom of Neraina, acclaimed as one of the most powerful figures in the Kingdom and given the title ‘Plasma Knight’. Born from a very minor knight family, his status in society was cemented by both his skills and a marriage alliance with a branch member of the Cernevoss family; as a knight, his official title is ‘Sir’. Twenty-nine years old, six foot three inches (190cm) in height, brown hair and green eyes; obviously muscular, has hawk-like nose. Human. Renowned as an honorable and righteous warrior, though one then wonders why he might serve Duke Cernevoss.
Minor character. Member of Lonmadd's support staff as part of Team Gamma. Overworked. Used to be fond of D&D, but long ago forgot the rules after being unable to play it for 1,000 years.
Member (guardian) of the C-rank party Demon’s Fright. Sixty-seven years old, four foot (122cm), with well-kept brown hair and beard and green eyes. Dwarf. His aura is an earth-element aura. Style of fighting is dual shields and earth magic.
Count of the Kingdom of Neraina. Forty-three years old, five foot eleven inches (180cm) in height, black hair which requires constant attendance to keep tidy, purple eyes. Human, though one would be surprised to learn, considering his height, that he has a dwarf grandfather. A major figure in Prince Christoph’s faction, he has secretly been working with Ventra to insinuate her as the powerholder in said faction. A skilled liar and manipulator even among nobles. His aura is currently unknown.
Adventurer’s Guildmaster of Bellgate. Fifty-two years old, six foot three inches (190.5cm), with brown hair and brown eyes; scar-faced, frequently found with stubble on his face. Human. Former B-rank adventurer who used axes. Fond of sweets and his daughter’s cooking; fears his wife’s cooking, her oni-mask face when angry, and her passionate make-up.
Supporting character. Seventeen years old, six foot (183cm) with pale blue eyes and blond hair; last measurements were F-cup, but her armour was no longer able to fit her before she could re-measure, so current size is unknown. Left arm was removed after the skirmish with Bile. Human. A former daughter of a noble family before becoming a slave. Skilled in both swordsmanship and fire/wind magic (she can also use just enough water magic to summon a potfull of water, though it requires a lot of concentration), she is outwardly serious and hardworking, but internally lazy and spoiled; however, she fangirls over Anya so much that she pushes herself past her limits. Her aura is a devouring-enhancement type.
Jinx is a pseudonym; no-one knows his real name except himself and the receptionist who accepted his application - and she has long forgotten it. Member (magician, secondary scout) of the C-rank party Demon’s Fright. Thirty-three years old, five foot eleven inches (180cm), with blond hair and pale blue eyes. Human. His aura is a water-element aura. Style of fighting is water-magic and explosives and other thrown potions and lots of explosives; he also acts as general support and information disseminator during battle.
Antagonist. The God of Velessus. Height: looming. Hair: white and bearded. Eyes: disapproving grey. Appearance: sufficiently dignified, as suits a god. Self-absorbed. He likes a well-functioning world, hates interference; manages around a hundred administrative assistants, seven Apostles, and one Velessus in what employees have described as a 'black company'.
Supporting character. Thirty years old, five foot four inches (163cm), brown hair and green eyes; C-cup. Human. Very protective of her daughter Wisti. Her aura is an enchanting type which can draw out natural properties.
Archpriest of the Church, head of the Inquisitors and Disciple of Mind’s Eye. Five foot seven inches (170cm) in height, bald, though this is hidden by her headdress; aquamarine eyes. Half-sharkkin, half-piranhakin, although her face is not obviously inhuman, and the rest of the physical indications of her species are hidden beneath her voluminous white robes. She also wears a veil over her face which hides most signs of her physical differences and a grey bandage around her eyes. Carries a pure white staff which is simple in design; a circle sprouts from a top, with a golden bell dangling in its center. Very devoted to Lonmadd and hates those she deems unworthy with a passion. Her aura is a water-type.
Member (damage-dealer) of the C-rank party Demon’s Fright. Twenty-three years old, five foot seven inches (170cm), with brown hair and brown eyes; B-cup. Human. Her aura is a wind-element aura. Style of fighting is dual scimitars and water/wind magic.
The first introduced co-protagonist of the series. Originally a deceased human, he ends up being reincarnated by a passing god into another world and becomes a crown. After meeting Anya and joining with her, he decides to establish her as King of her own nation. He originally had the shape of a golden multi-pointed crown, but upon joining with Anya was changed to a golden circlet with a ruby-eyed lioness decoration; the rim was recently inscribed with silver scenes from his and Anya's past. His aura is Burning Monarchical Aura, originally Royal Flame Aura.
Supporting character. Nineteen years old, five foot one inch (155cm) with black hair and eyes; B-cup. Human. Former member of Angelic Reapers, then became the figure known as the Adventurer Killer; mildly crazy. Her aura is a distinct type titled 'Lethality', which have bolstered both her detection skills and her attack skills; she also has knowledge of a variety of spells, many of which she cannot actually use, alongside many daggers, which she acts like she can most definitely use.
Supporting character. Eighteen years old, five foot eleven inches (180cm) with white hair (originally brown hair) and brown eyes; B-cup. Human. A woodsman’s daughter. Simple-minded, the sort of person who would punch her way through trouble and not even think to ask questions; as a result, her muscles are strong. She possesses an unusually strong enhancement-type aura.
Adventurer’s Vice-Guildmaster of Bellgate. [pry and die] years old, five foot seven inches (170cm) with blond hair done in a pony-tail and bright green eyes; B-cup [author just lost an arm]. Elf. Professional worker who skilfully prevents herself from being the one doing most of the work. Manager of the high-class brothel Pleasure based in the city of Bellgate, and a former A-rank adventurer. Thirty-three years old, six foot (180cm) in height, straight red hair, green eyes; L-cup. Human. However, due to skills such as Unnatural Body, it is possible for her to change her already very attractive physical features. Playful and teasing one moment, cold and ruthless in another, she delights in power in any shape and form, and strives to gain it. Motives unknown. Her aura is currently unknown, but is at the level of an Ω-rank.
Big-shot slave trader; used to own Anya and co. Calm, has a cold facade, really not a nice man. From chapter 6: ‘His hair was pale-white, his face and skin young and smooth, contrasted in the dim torchlight with the clothes so black they seemed to melt into the darkness behind him.’ Six feet one inch (185cm) tall, with black eyes flecked with red.
Supporting character. Mary’s daughter. Twelve years old, four foot eleven inches (150cm), with brown hair and green eyes; A-cup. Human. Naturally kind and sweet. Her aura is currently unknown.

HP, or health points, is a measure of how much life force a user possesses, and is the primary determinant of the life of the user. So long as the user has HP, even if they have suffered severe injuries, they will not die until they have lost all life force (i.e. bled out). Due to Blessings of Two Systems, HP has a baseline of twice the END stat.
MP, or mana points, is a measure of the amount of power which a user possesses in their soul, and is the primary determinant of the extent of the effects the user can have with magic on the surrounding world. Due to Blessings of Two Systems, MP has a baseline of twice the INT stat.
STR, or strength, is a measure of the pure physical strength which a user possesses, and is the primary determinant for how much physical power the user can exert.
AGI, or agility, is a measure of the fluidity of motion which a user possesses, and is the primary determinant of physical speed and dexterity, and improves muscle memory.
END, or endurance, is a measure of the stamina which a user possesses, and is the primary determinant of muscle density, bone thickness, and resistance against damage.
INT, or intelligence, is a measure of the raw intellectual ability which a user possesses, and is the primary determinant for reaction speed and growth potential; high INT also allows for resistance against non-physical magic (e.g. charm magic).
I didn't leave a rating here, since this story is fairly hard to rate objectively, but the good ol' scribblehub decided to autorate it as 5, so eh. Consider this a "can't really give this a rating" type of review.Excessive Rape: the Story, Electric Boogaloo, the Rapening.
That's pretty much what the story is so far. For 39 chapters. Now, of course, the main character and his noble steed weren't raped. Yet. However, who knows what joys the future holds?
You know those stories with gay characters where everyone in the cast is gay, the supporting characters are gay, the eldrich abominations from incomprehensible dimensions are gay, and everyone who isn't gay is on the side of the Big Bad?
This novel has the same energy, except everyone is horribly and massively raped instead. I'm not even joking, out of all the female characters only three (!) weren't raped. One of them is MC's wielder and the others are Evil™. And one of those evil women was quite possibly raped as well, but it isn't directly stated, so I'll withhold my judgment on the matter.
Essentially, this story is about the supporting characters' torturous and outrageously rapey past on a backdrop of a fantasy litrpg world. Coincidentally, the goal of MC's group is to escape from even more rape and torture.
With all the rape going on, I'm even hesitant to mention other things that make little to no sense.
Did I mention that this story contains humongous amounts of rape? Well, it's as prevalent as me mentioning it in this review. Even action and battle scenes are broken up by flashbacks and mentions of rape and rape-related activities.
To sum it up: do you love tragedy? Do you enjoy reading through chapter after chapter of torment, rape, and wanton cruelty? Do you like unbridled abuse of a Villain Ball, Wide-eyed Idealist, and Kick the Dog tropes? If your answer is a resounding "yes", then this fiction is for you.
Otherwise — not so much.

The novel starts out with a well made and unique prologue giving enough time for our MC and FL to develop as characters while you are being immersed into this new world.
Though only at the end of the prologue and the beginning of the escape arc wil the MC and FL begin to interact with each other but that won't really matter since the buildup to their meeting wil feel natural and not forced.
And that is where I quit reading, because I sadly found out that our Main character will not get into any romantical relationship. It is actually the FL that will get into one with someone else. This completely destroyed my expectations since there were allot of hints in the description and the novel that kept telling you that there was going to be something between the two, but sadly this something was and will not be of romantical nature. So this just left me with a sour feeling of regret destroying any motivation to keep reading.
Call me childish, but it just feels like our MC is being cucked!
Even though I quit reading this I still recommend this novel for any fantasy genre lover and I wish you a fun time reading this.

The characters feel real, the story is interesting, the right amount of tense, the skill system is nicely thought out (nothing too immediately advanced means less can go wrong). I'm personally enjoying it tons, also the main cast is quite large (8 I think) but they are all equally well developped and mesh surprisingly well together, considering their backstory variety. LacKey clearly put a lot of thought into making the cast synergise.
Oh, there is one character that is racist towards another character, but it dies down around chapter 50 (spoilers from here) :
It's explained (not excused by any of the members other than the MC though, for good reasons from each) and she starts trying to move past it, as she recognises how it might just be a prejudice, and that it's possible that the other character (specifically) may not be as bad as her religious upbringing has taught her.
Another review commented about "Excessive Rape: The Story", why I think this is a bit flawed I will explain further, but somewhat big spoiler for the "escape arc":
It should be pointed out that the immediate cast and setting were literally going to be sold as s*x slaves; they literally broke free from the slaver caravan, and the main pursuers are said slavers, so it makes sense that there would be a slightly larger mention of it, given the context. However, I don't think there is "excessive mention" of it.
A) It's an awful thing no matter what, so ignoring it is arguably worse, and when you're dealing with trauma victims who have collectively experienced similar things it's going to be something talked about.
B) The cast is escaping civilisation because these slavers have a sufficiently large influence that that's the only way they can feel safe. Hence, the most direct story links to the main cast, at this point in time, are the slavers themselves (ended at the end of the escape arc, I'm pretty sure), hence why the story would have a contextually larger focus on it.
C) Rape is not condoned in any fashion, but actually isn't mentioned all the time, just in backstories (again, intended s*x slaves, so kinda unavoidable, but once you know their backstories there's no more from that cause.

The grammar is spot on.
ALL the characters feel real. They all have their own personality, with good and bad points, even the most evil characters have a soft spot (never towards the nice guys). The character development is incredible. All the reactions seem to make sense with what we know, or end up making sense later with new information about the characters past. Some may be put off by the many flashbacks for character development, but it helps give its pace to the story.
The world development is perfect. We learn things as the story needs it in a perfectly natural way. No glossing over things or explaining every little point here, just the right amount to know everything makes sense but craving for more.
At the start the plot seems a lot simpler than it actually is. No matter what/how much you see coming, you will be surprised more than a few times.
A personal favourite of mine, there is rape, gore and cruelty galore, but it is never overly graphic. The horror and pain of the situation are very clear, it is easy to picture the scene, but it is never so detailed it becomes off-putting. That balance is very hard to reach for such a story.
The author clearly put a lot of thoughts, time and work in the novel, and it shows.
I definitely recommend it to all who enjoy a high quality heavy-hearted story.
