I would like to give it 4/5 stars but the portrayal of characters from anime and games are just so horribly done. The only thing they share are their backgrounds, nothing about their personalities are remotely the same. It causes a lot of dissonance which is why it's too frustrating to read this novel anymore.
If the author could re-read/watch/play the original source of these characters it might help this novel a lot.
Grammar is decent, characters are interesting, large cast done well.
Story is mostly coherent but light on details, the focus of the plot is the character interactions and the author seems to understand and push this. As things happen outside of the purview of the shop. There is no, MC involved in everything because MC. Latest chapter just doubles down on it and it just makes the story better.
So I came in expecting this to be merely decent. Instead, I was shocked at how enjoyable it was. It's well written, and kept my interest from beginning to end... It was only real life that forced me to pause instead of binge reading the whole thing.
The interactions were believable to the characters showing up, while also being amusing.
