On the surface, Xi Tianyi was the only son of Sword Empress Xi of the Buzhou Immortal Sect, the number one expert in the Huang Realm. His birth was noble, his status exalted. But the truth was that Xi Tianyi was actually a reincarnated man from a world known as Earth.
On Earth, he was no one special, but with his new life, Xi Tianyi aims to reign invincible: past, present, and future. Among his goals was to travel back to Earth and reunite with his family.
However, as Xi Tianyi proceeds further on his Immortal path, he discovers that rather than the protagonist, why does he seem more like the cannon fodder villain?

Rarely seen such a good novel (and even more a xianxia one)
If I must find a comparison it would be <History’s Strongest Senior Brother> since it's a story about someone being reincarnated into a villain young master type background and having multiple main protagonist-like geniuses crossing his path.
But I find this novel better because it's not like other parodies where almost everything is ridiculous, here it's a serious parody (it doesn't mean it's not fun, only that the funny things are more carefully manipulated) and the author doesn't just throw typical xianxia events one after the other but explain them. It makes it so that it's a true story with a true background and true characters (the treatments of side characters is just exceptionnal, I NEVER saw such a good characters develepment/background)
It's also very refreshing that for once the MC's life isn't some sort of tragedy/living hell (even if a lot of other characters will have sad past T-T)
The only negative traits WAS that the MC was f*cking passive in the early chapters (until a few tens of chapters, the MC was intereted in almost nothing, not even your typical main character setting. In the early chapters he totally ignored them -_-) luckily it changes a lot and although he's not the most proactive MC ever, he's not passive anymore and he pays a lot more attention to what's happening around him. It's the only thing I can reproach in all the novel till now and it's already resolved xD
I have nothing more to say other that you should at least give it a try, you'll not be disappointed

It's a generic Wuxia/Xianxia novel, pretty normal and enjoyable if you like the genre but it also has the same flaws of any other similar novel. It also has the problem of being overly long on things that don't really matter, it just feels boring to read at times with half the chapter not really mattering at all, and just going through the motions.
Give it a chance for the first 25 chapters and a little more, but it isn't for me as I don't really like most Wuxia novels but should be interesting for people who do like the genre.

ive always been looking for a cn novel or cn inspired novel that subverts expectations and I thought I found the one.. but this novel have a cockroach villain lmao. sad.
author also tries to incorporate so many gods and goddesses from many religions which could be interesting... only if u already have a stablished world. he is taking so many parts that may sound cool from other novels but it just leads to confusion bcoz theres so many.
imagine if the MC was so strong to the point that he explored the whole world or continent and then suddenly he found a mural depicting Zeus stepping on a beaten opponent that turns out to be tge strongest recorded cultivator of ancient time? that would have been a holy shet moment and can lead to the next arc where he can introduce the Olympians. but no. we got cockroach dude lol.

It's fairly entertaining and quite a good read aside from the grammar that is occasionally off.
The writing style is nice, though does need some refinement as many colloquialisms being only slightly butchered with phonetically similar words often appear. Grammar is fairly rough, likely a good proofreader giving it a rake will make it smooth while a good editor will make it shine.
The story is nice, though it could use a little less filler in the later chapters where it becomes a slight chore to read anything unrelated to the protagonist as there is a divide between the reader and the characters that are not directly related to the main character (we basically know nothing about them and have a harder time caring about what they do no matter how important it may be to the story at large).
The world-building is sparse, with few places given any real details, but it is hardly noticed unless one looks for it in most of the chapters since the characters are usually fleshed out enough to detract from the lack of environmental details.
The grammar has me on the ropes, I dislike constant grammar errors in my reading materials but can tolerate it in an entertaining story. I cannot express how much good grammar improves the reading experience by allowing a more accurate portrayal of the author's intentions. Proper spelling can affect word flow, proper punctuation can affect the meaning of a string of words, and proper wordplay changes a snap-back into a beautiful comeback too witty to be comprehended in a single sitting. The English language is a nightmare that even some native speakers and writers will never truly master in their lives but for those who master it, like mastering any other language in the world, gain a tool that can express something more than just the sum of their words.

Very good xianxia novel, the only thing I want is a little bit of romance and it will be perfect.

The Lovespot arc completely destroys all suspension of disbelief and undermines all world building and any trust in the sect and it's leadership. Absolutely nothing makes sense, unless it would lead to a Yun Che (ATG) style sect destruction arc but that doesn't seem likely.
One of the worst arcs I've ever had the displeasure of reading. I was thinking it was some demonic nightmare technique or something at first but apparently not.

The novel was pretty good at the beginning but midway through, it started to get boring with you being able to know what would happens and certain parts being a bit drawn out and some out of placed jokes as well the MC being kinda too childish eventhough he’s old as sh*t in age.

This is one of the best story on this site
i know ppl are complaining about the mc’s villains surviving like a cockroach, but come on man, the villain is like one of the strongest expert of all time who used to surpass his own mother who is currently the strongest when he was alive. Even if the dude is weakened he still would have tricks to survive it. And the complains about some characters acting hostile to MC for no reason, if u ppl be patient, u would have known that some of them have reasons to be hostile that were revealed later on.

This story is painfully generic, the MC is reincarnated but you wouldn't know that with the way he acts. He doesn't use knowledge from his past life, he isn't shocked by the social norms of this world if it wasn't written in the bio I wouldn't know he was from earth.
The grammar is good, the world building is incredibly generic, the prose is stiff and long winded often explaining things that are obvious like a student trying to pass a word count.

The novel is well-written and entertaining, I'll give it that
My only problem with this novel is that every antagonist just never f*ck*ng dies. They all either escape, survive miraculously, somehow revive, or find a random inheritance to recover. It gets repetitive and I find nearly no satisfaction in this development. There are also backstories for each antagonist, however, sincerely, I do not care and am bored of it.
Please just kill off a couple of antagonists and move on. It's unrealistic how they can make a comeback after getting severely injured or crippled so many times. Hell they don't even develop a heart demon because of it even though just the slightest bit of trauma can cause someone to fail their immortal ascension tribulation.
