In the blazing summer heat, Maria just finished the highschool semester on the same day as 16th birthday. She visits her best friend Eiea, the friendly but mysterious neighborhood’s bookstore owner, who gives her a present in the form of a book she wanted to read for a long time. Excited, she goes back home to read it, where her mother has a talk with her and informs her that she is adopted! Anger and confusion makes a strange power awaken inside of her, hurting her mother in the process.
Eiea comes to the rescue and, after sending her wounded mom to the hospital, tells her that she just awakened as a witch! As her world turns over, Maria must adapt to her new situation and to the threats that comes with it.
