Khal Valrath was a name that inspired fear, respect, and silence. A general who lived for duty and sacrificed everything else. His victories were countless, but so were the bodies left in his wake. His death should have been the end—a fitting punishment for a man with nothing left to lose.
But it wasn't.
He’s back, thrown into a past that reeks of regret and blood. A past that refuses to let go. The ghosts he thought buried haunt him still, their voices louder, their weight heavier. He wants to fix it, to make things right. But how do you save a world when duty still feels like chains, and redemption tastes like ash in your mouth?
And worse—what if you can’t even save yourself?
i honestly liked how this chapter went and how it started reminding the MC of who he was and his regrets, how will this go? How will he live with his guilt? Idk, I can only wait for the next chapter, and again I genuinely liked the 1st chapter so far.
