It's a story about a world where gender roles are reversed. If you like that kind of trope, you will enjoy that story. Women are more powerful than men because they can use magic, and men can't, outside of very specific applications. The main protagonist is a broken man, who was just getting better when life knocked back at his door. Life, in this case, implies a potential bevy of suitors, female ones, since there are also matters of unequal gender split. There's also magic, magical races, magitech, and all that good stuff. While the main thing I read this story for is the romance, the lore is intricate and deeply thought, making for a very deep read, for the genre.
