John has many questions. The most meaningful of these are about himself, his past and the world of Ankheros. There are demons lurking in the shadows of his past, demons that threaten the very notion of who he is. Songwood - the realm of the elves - might just hold the key to ridding himself of the stains that darken his soul. On his way he will gain allies and make enemies. But he cannot hide from his archnemesis: himself.
