The chained man chuckled eerily in the dimly lit room full of blades, whips, ropes, and other torture devices. His golden eyes flashed disdainfully at his filthy and contaminated blood splattered all over himself and around him.
“Do you want revenge?”
“The ability to overcome all of your restraints?”
“And the power to destroy–”
He clenched the silver rosary that scorched ruthlessly into his skin. His alluring smirk revealed the sharp fangs hidden beneath his thin chapped and bloodied lips, “What else do I have to lose?”

Currently there has only been one completed arc, so review is only based off of this one arc.
Current Rating: 4.6/5
Story: 5/5
Beginning starts off with very similar vibes to "Reborn as a System", but once entering the first mission world, it becomes nothing alike. Arc 1 takes place in a modern day world with our MC taking the role of a Special Force soldier that was tasked to protect the protagonist of the world. Unique that the MC is the Gong/Seme/Top where the trope for these Quick Transmigration novels is for the MC to be the Shou/Uke/Bottom. The over-arcing plot seems to be for the MC to take revenge on his captor with a wish granted at the end of completion.
Unique possibility of the Shou not being able to follow in following worlds, due to a line mentioned by the System
Character Development: 4.5/5
MC is a ruthless, indifferent (author-sama really likes writing aloof and indifferent characters~) and tortured character. The Shou on the other hand is not as ruthless. Both ML's have a high IQ, EQ, and LQ (Love Quotient: intelligence/sensitivity to love related matters) which is nice since the conflict isn't in regards to naivety, but more in regards to resolving the insecurities due to their past. The MC highly respects his partner and completely waits for the Shou to be ready for a more physical relationship. The character growth definitely was much more prominent in the Shou, but I suspect that as the arcs go by, our MC will slowly change as well.
Half point was taken off mainly due to the system (who doesn't play a huge role), and it's character setting. At the beginning when the system was shown to be a lazy character that refused to read the manual of a system, it was explained away with the fact that the system was reborn and read a lot of these System Administration web novels. However, the inconsistency in this is that every system administration mechanics, etc. Differs from one webnovel to the next, so how is this system able to provide prompt information to his host without having to look things up?
Writing Quality: 4.5/5
I want to start off by giving the author props for how difficult it is to write the interaction/love development between lovers who both have really high EQ and traumatic pasts, especially in a short story format and a way that the reader understands. However, at the same time, there were a couple instances I felt that made the whole romance seemed rushed. Thinking back, the plot itself had subtle hints, just the expression of the MC was very subtle, so when the MC expressed his interest it seemed very abrupt to the readers. &Nbsp;
Personal Opinion: Perhaps because of the author's previous work, Quick Transmigration: Becoming the Best, where the slow romance that is revealed with the progression of character development is done so well that my expectations for the author has increased. Disregarding the inconsistencies aforementioned above, the actual plot development is actually really well thought out and makes a very enjoyable read.
Will update as more chapters are released.

Considering that stories with seme MCs are few and far between I have to say that I was more than pleasantly surprised by this one.
Writing quality
English isn't my first language so I tend to overlook mistakes and typos. But I can assure you that the story is more than understandable and it all flows nicely.
Stability of Updates ;--;
I've stalked the author's wattpad and found out that they are currently on a hiatus due to rl matters. While I am delighted to hear that this wasn't dropped it is a bit disheartening not knowing when we might be getting a new chapter.
All that's left is setting up a tent here and waiting

Story development
It has a nice pace to it.
Usually in world hopping stories the arcs feel rushed and the feelings between the MC and ML develop too fast making "their love" for eachother feel shallow.
The story's development is really nice and it succeds in getting the reader engaged.
Character Design
I absolutely love Xinya and Yang's interactions (◕︿◕✿)
I live for the fluff.
Right from the start we can notice that their relationship has boundaries. Lines that won't be crossed and it makes me so damn satisfied. I can actually appreciate the characters' interactions and plot and not be flodded by the endless, unecessary smut.
I am not saying that smut is bad but many authors tend to go over the top with it and have 70% of the story just be smut. I might as well go watch p*rn rather than read.
While the MC is characterized as a cold iceberg by the other characters it soon becomes visible that his personality does not resume to that. No cardboard personalities here.
At the end of the first act, the scene where Xinya is erasing his own memories really hit hard ༼ಢ_ಢ༽ It just empathizes the fact that our dear MC isn't as unfeeling as he would like others to think.
World Background
The author has given us a general world background, nothing about the world's description feel like an info dump. It is all necessary information that relates to the MC one way or another. It all just makes me impatient to see how MC is going to deal with that man.
All in all this story is definitely one of my favorites right now and it is definitely worth a read.

The first arc was interesting. I liked how it progressed. Seemed a lot more realistic that how those family dynasty scenarios usually end. Why cut off a bridge if it hasn’t been burnt and all that eh? It was nice to see the Yue become his own person and not get destroyed by a rotten past.
Feng as a character is fascinating especially since his EQ is so high considering the back story so far.
I’m really looking forward to the continuation of arc 2 and the introduction of Rui.
