Synopsis

WARNING!!! The mc of this novel is weak(mentally) and thus unlikable. The story also has a tag SLOW-PACE. Which means there won't be a lot of actions going on from the get-go.

Erlig, a senior in a respectable college lived his whole life without knowing such a word as trouble. Stable life with no accidents, great parents, and a good friend. Gaming was his hobby.
But when he tried a new game something happened to him.
He was trapped in a new world as the protagonist of this game. The worst is that he was cuckolded, humiliated, and beaten down. Not knowing how this happened he now forced to live a different life.
Those things, that looked like fiction in the game turned out to be much more real. He is forced to confront the dark and grimy world that looks much harsher than what he always saw. The only things that left in his changed world, is his meager knowledge of the game and his, own, self.
Given such a miraculous opportunity, he is forcibly taken out from his bubble and placed between a choice.
To break and fall or to forever change his fate, his life, and everything around him.

A little description to give a better understanding of what this story is about. It's my vision on a fusion of Korean fighting manhwas and Korean r-18 romance manhwas with the protagonist that is not typical to those particular works.
Author's note: As this is my first novel and English is not my native language any criticism would be appreciated.
Release schedule: At least one chapter every week.
I also post on Webnovel and Royal Road.

The story isn't bad and grammer is okay, but it's definitely korean in it's essence. Which means it relies too much on NTR and torture porn to evoke suspense, anger, jealously, and revulsion in the reader to hook him/her. It just leaves you with bad feelings.

MC is from beyond the 4th wall yet even with transmigration tag he's still in the shoes of pathetic MC of a korean manga. You expect something to change, yet it changes nothing aside from "oh I got cucked!! Good thing I never liked her anyways". And I hate this aspect, because at that point reader and the MC are disconnected. Why would anyone want to connect with MC at that point? It can be argued that his situation is quite logical, but in fiction using logic as an argument is self defeating. Was it logical for MC to be obsessed with a game with romance+ntr+harem as one of the main them yet liking none of the girls?

Anyways, this one is very divisive from me. There's nothing wrong with it from objective perspective, but from subjective one it is bad. What the readers feel is equally important because for them story was written, and I feel horrible.

Please don't read it unless you can handle NTR. Author has indicated that things will change for better but god knows how long you'd have to wait for it. The fiction might get dropped midway. So wait for chapters to pile up, or feel bad like me.

      The journey of a wimp.

We are at 140k words, and we still don't know anything substantial about other characters. The story has a very slow pace, and all of it is focused on MC, I will talk about him  and his "development" later in my review. The author used a lot of Chekhov's guns, there are a lot of questions, and few answers, and we are 140k words into the story. Overall, the grammar is okay, and the pace might not be for everyone.

The MC, transmigrated into a game that he used to play, into a talented and physically perfect body for fighting, it is a world that revolves around martial arts, fighting in general. The catch is that the bad ending is getting ntr-ed. So, Erlig, our protagonist, gets transmigrated into a body of a guy that met his bad end, meaning, he got ntr-ed.

So here comes the first problem, after reading the Synopsis and the title, I thought that the game setting and the ntr situation will have some significant role in this story, well, it doesn't.

Erlig, played and read guides about the game, it should mean that he has some knowledge about the main characters of the game (this is mentioned in earlier chapters) which should help him in someway, but then it is said that he did not familiarize enough with the world (a contradiction). Basically, the game setting doesn't have any role in this story, Erlig has no use of his experience of playing this game or reading guides about it. If it is useless, Why should it matter for us readers ? In the end, it is a wasted expectation, = disappointment.  I can not believe that he doesn't know any information from the game that could prove useful...

The same thing with the ntr in the title, Erlig does not care that the past host of the body was ntr-ed, which is a reasonable thing to do, but one would expect it to play a bigger, more significant role in the story. It kind of feels like a clickbait. (or it might be another Chekhov gun...)

I will talk about our protagonist, Erlig.

At the beginning of the story, a introverted, a bit lacking in social skills but overall a decent and likeable character, he found himself stuck into this game that he played, and reacted accordingly to his character traits. He got anxious, depressed and afraid, and all of it made me, like and cheer for the guy.

      Spoiler

It got to the level that he wanted to commit suicide in order to escape from this game world and return home, not the most logical decision but given the mental state he was in, it made sense, and it made me more interested in him as a character, I thought that this was the beginning of his character growth, after all this was his lowest point, but I was wrong. In chapter 20 he becomes a rapist. It comes out of the blue, yeah Violetta is not the best human being, but to choose rape, over other ways he could blackmail her (if he wanted), or just protect himself against her, he chooses rape.
This was the first sign that the likeable protagonist, will get his development but in not the way that I expected, the better word to explain this situation would be degradation. (I guess it is also a form of character growth). The problem is that it was unexpected, it was not something that you will describe Erlig as capable of. Even though he felt regret after the first rape, he is continuing to rape her for months, that's a very BIG "development" and it came out of nowhere. A very big step, from a introverted and shy gamer to a rapist.

About other characters and MCs interaction with them.

First let's start with the so called new parents.

At the beginning he reasonably sees them as strangers but acts as their son in order to not garner suspicion (A logical decision). Then he kind of wants to accept them as his new parents (not an act), then he again sees them as strangers, followed by trying again to accept them as his new family. A very confusing development. A 20* years old dude, that had a life accepts strangers as new family, even though they are kind of useless and not supportive. But yeah, with his mental state it might make sense.

Now with his so called friends. It is very important to mention that he repeats a few times that he does not care about anyone, he sees them as strangers or even worse. A reasonable decision, given their background. He knows that these people can not be considered friends (I will explain why). Yet, his actions contradicts his thoughts.

First we got Jet. I will quote from the story,
"In most scenarios Jet was the most trusted friend of the MC along with two girls. He will support and advise you in most of the school events. And even in the worst-case scenarios, he would still be of some help.

Written as the cheerful, pervy, and a bit lethargic character, he was in the game to make the protagonist more notable. Still, he quickly came to be hated by most of the players as he could cuck the protagonist" I think that he also came to be hated by most readers, along with the 2 girls. Two reasons why I dislike this character, other than MC accepting this guy as a friend.

      1. The dude is a Hacker, someone that could gain access to information and use it. Yet, he does not really use his abilities to help his friend. I don't really want to explain how someone with his abilities could destroy anyone reputation in the internet age. He could, if not destroy, at least trash enough the reputation of their COMMON bully and his family so that he would be expelled. The guy is really useless, and did not even help or support his friend when Erlig was in need. Also it is hinted that he did some sh*tty stuff behind his back.

      2. We can deduce, from the conversation with the MC, that Jet is a rapist, he forced (Elle?*) a girl into a relationship by blackmailing her. We return to his description from the story, he cucked the previous Elrig, his best friend. Enough reason to dislike the guy.

2.1. He also *probably* had s*x with Elle, while she was talking on the phone with Elrig. CH-15. If this is true, again we can only deduce from the hints, that is some next level disrespect from one that calls himself a friend.  Overall a character that only drags MC down.

One of the best and most satisfying decision Elrig made (that kind of got crushed in ch-53), was to get rid of the two girls from his life. Elle, a person that did not help and support the MC when he was in need. And I will repeat, CH15- She was f**king someone while talking with MC on the phone. (a presumption) Joanne, the same reason as other two, not helping and supporting when in need, also she f**ked their common bully and ntr-ed  the past Elrig.

Mara, I will try to be short, damn I wrote a lot...

The girl has some screw loses in her head, I could call her a yandere, but no respectable yandere will stay by, and do nothing, while her obsession is constantly being bullied to the level that he got in hospital. From everything I have read so far, I can make the conclusion that she sees MC as a trophy, as a toy to be played with and throw away. Her interest is based on the fact that he refused her advances twice, so her pride got hurt.

The description from the story quote, "Yeah, she is kind of hunting, the guys that caught her eye end up as her boyfriends in a matter of a week, and then she throws them away"Even MC, realizes that she is up to no good, that how she sees him, is a mere object, a toy. Quote, " It was almost written on her face, how she felt that I was her possession and someone messed with it"

After everything that these so called friends represent, Elrig still, in the latest chapter, for some reason wants to associate with these people. 140k words, and the protagonist still makes the decision based on his emotions (and he feels emotional for them), you would think that he learned from the previous lessons but no. Why he cares about these 3, I can't understand.

To essentially sell yourself to Mara for revenge, when you have some kind of protection against that CARICATURE of a bully. Elrig is protected because he is in "Brave and Bold" team, yet he still chose to be a slave anyway, when his dream is to be free. Like wtf? And one more reason to dislike Mara, damn stalker, always using MC, and putting him in debt to her, just to entertain herself.

There are other characters, but I'm kind of apathetic towards them, and this review is already too long.

      [collapse]

I come to the end of this long ass review, you can clearly deduce that for some reason this story interests me, despite not having one likeable character, despite MC becoming a scumbag and a drama queen, despite the many unanswered questions and inconsistencies. I'm still interested in the journey of the wimp. I saw hope in chapter 30 (then it got crushed), and maybe he will come to grow some balls, take responsibility and redeem himself.

Well, give it a try =)

      Good luck!

      Kinda sh*t.

Grammar and writing if fine but the MC basically does nothing the entire time and only runs away from his problems and generally acts like an asshole.

But hey don't let me tell you what to read, so go and read it, and see whether you like it or not.

This is only a 6 chapter review.. so things can change.... and getting better!

1 Writing quality is good. 2 So far one daily chapter. 3 Daring story concept. 4 MC has a brain and is relatable.

Personal thoughts: I hate NTR but I believe the author is using it as a story hook [I hope anyway] to bring a Transmigration into a sticky world that will entertain rather than depress. Honestly if the story ends up rubbing NTR in the MCs face I will bail, but I belive it will just be a story prop.. lets wait and see!

OK, take this one with a grain of salt.

First, like most I read past reviews and the premise seemed interesting. And they were right.

This isn't an edge lord that tried to avenge the wrongs of the body he inhabits. It dealt with a semi realistic approach to somebody being to a different world, mentioning how he is not OK with this,

      Spoiler

he is depressed and he tries to commit suicide in this new reality

      [collapse]
. Later, with a possible friend helping him he sets to improve himself and even right some stuff.... and that's it.

As a slice of life, this will be slow from most people who aren't in the mindset for this, so you should prepare. From the main character mouth he mentions how aimless and goalless he is to this point (chap 37 or 40 depending how you count it) and he will be right, he does not have a goal to return to his world, he does not care about the girl (s) that the person he became likes so he cut them off, he doesn't try to get revenge mostly he wants to be left alone and have the strength to not be pushed around, and there is not a clear set for getting friends or a SO in this new reality (mostly just going with the flow of the other characters)... And I think there is a point where the premise only take you so far till you are not longer interested.

      Pros:

Grammar is OK, not big plot holes so the story is OK, character development some downs and ups but the only one we really get to know is the main character (slice of life so understandable).

      Cons:

The premise from the Ntr character and the revenge tags hook plenty readers, and the author doesn't really develop this aspect, nor the game transmigration part, so if this novel lost the title it would reflect better in the storyline.

Frankly, this could be an acceptable seinen story of a transmigrated guy struggling with his new reality in a slice of life setting. Just don't expect the revenge or game knowledge aspects to be relevant or you'll be bored.

Edit: so I'm trying to give this four stars but for some reason it's not displaying that, instead reverting to no-stars which I think is a non-score since I'm not showing up on the chart for star distribution anyway.

So I'm a proud pitchfork carrying member of the anti-NTR brigade. But I'm alright with this story so far. MC transmigrates into the body of an NTR'd dude and doesn't really care about the two girls who liked his old meatsuit but apparently are sleeping with other guys.

That said, MC may well not be to your taste. I'm alright with it since the dude is having a realistic reaction to being yanked away from his whole damn world. But he's not your typical "strong" protagonist at this point and that may bother some people.

The one bit of R-18 scene we've got so far was pretty hot (to be clear, its not an NTR scene, we're aware that sh*t is going on but it's not really explored in any detail). If anything it was pretty fun as he blackmails someone who has helped make his life sh*t.

All in all, I'd say it's an unusual series with potential that will turn some people off. I'm enjoying it so far and think it's worth your time to try.

This is the first time I'm ever writing a review for anything so I'm gonna keep it short and I'm sorry if Im not able to form my words properly

This novel is a rare gem. Ive been actively searching this type of stories where the MC has been done wrong and in most of the novels I see, the MC turns into an edge lord and go on about their revenge. This is a rare one because instead of being like that, the MC goes and be a better version of himself. I really love it.

Now for the real reason I'm writing this review. I just want to tell the author that I really love this novel. You're writing is great and I hope that you won't abandon this story.  I've seen a lot of novels hear with a lot of potential but ended up being abandoned by their authors.

      Keep it up! ^V^

This novel so far is good, I'm not really a good critic but all I can tell is that I'm enjoying reading it, it's 5☆ because I'm here to enjoy reading a novel and not to judge a person's hardwork on it. That's why let's just enjoy reading and not be a crab. I'M RECOMMENDING THIS ONE, ESPECIALLY FOR A PERSON WITH NETORARE/NETORI FETISH LIKE ME

I would say a story like this are rare, so rare. I mean, have you seen a story where the MC get NTRed and instead of getting depressed and stuff, he instead tries to change himself and become a better person?  I'm pretty sure, there's not many stories like this out there, and even if there's any I'm sure it's not always updated or it just gets dropped halfway.

Writing Quality: It's good enough, for someone who's not Native-English speaker.

Characters: I can't really say much for other characters because until the latest chapter we only see the story from MC's POV, so we don't know how the others really are, I feel like there's more than what we see. Also, the MC right now quite relatable and not really unreasonable.

Story: For now, I didn't have much opinion on the story, I can only say for now I'm really satisfied, but who know what the story become at the future chapters, I just hope it's not going downhill.
