    Status: chapter 13: raised eyebrows

not to many chapters yet but so far this seems like a masterpiece, its like pre dark age 40K but without the grimdark and with a nice romance that feels intimate but not smut.a breath of fresh air, this could be a new "Herald of the Stars" or "Ghost in the City" it really should have the "cyberpunk" tag probably more to:"Artificial Intelligence" "Genetic Modifications" maybe "Psychic Powers"??"Early Romance" "Female Protagonist" "Futuristic Setting"no idea why it has "Demon Lord" at this point.

Status: chapter 39: the heavy assault unit

Really fantastic 40k lite sci-fi setting. The main character is a discharged navigator who's had a brush with the equivalent of 40k chaos during a warp jump. Unlike 40k, Fleet command and civilization in general has no idea what the anomaly was, so our navigator finds herself discharged with a black mark on her record, aimless and broken. She soon meets a young corporate woman and there's a quick romance which follows, and then all hell breaks loose.

The general quality of the prose is excellent and the grammar is very good, making for a very smooth and pleasant reading experience. Characters feels distinct and all have their own voice and personality making the story engaging to read. While you might think a 40k inspired universe is a bit derivative, I found it to be very interesting and compelling, especially being a sort of first contact with chaos scenario. Will be very interesting to see what the precise characterestics of the anomaly are and how it differs from 40k, also would be very cool to see a continuation in this setting as the author has indicated it might finish as a short novel after the end of this final arc.

Overall thoroughly recommend this story to anyone who wants to read something good - and being short and well paced, there's no reason not to give it a try!
