Thomas, a teenage boy, rescues hundreds of tadpoles from certain death. Within the walls of his peculiar garden, he builds a pond where they can thrive, takes care of them and shields them from all kinds of dangers.
Narrated from the perspective of an albino tadpole, the story follows the amphibians’ adventures within the pond and, later, throughout the secluded garden. But as they become aware of their prison, some begin to wonder what lies beyond those walls. Will they risk escaping the confines of their new home, or will they remain within this glimpse of real freedom?
