Synopsis

Gods are, generally speaking, not fans of directly putting their fingers on the scale. This is for a variety of reasons, ranging from cautioun to amusement, but is generally because after a few hundred millennia and enough prayers to fill a hollow Earth, you're bound to learn the art of delegation. Luckily, among the unwashed masses, there exist the exceptional, the gifted, those with the potential to become Heroes.

Useful pawns.

Thus, the Gods adopted a more laissez-faire policy.

Quasi Eludo has been a Hero. He did the whole "save the world” rigmarole, came home, and mulled over his magical journey. It was amazing! A whole lifetime as the destined savior, with magic and monsters, love and adventure, lifelong friendships and heartfelt goodbyes. There was so much, and yet, gone so soon.

It wasn’t enough. It was never enough. He wanted to do it again. And where wants coincide, there's a market, so he sold his services to the lazy, wanton Gods.

Quasi Eludo, Hero for Hire. [No world too big, no quest too small]
_________________________________________________________________________________________________

Now, after countless subjective centuries of Hero-ing, and several awkward conversations with the IRS, an odd God has come to Quasi with a unique request: Destroy a world, minimum payment of several million dollars on completion.

Quasi sees no reason not to accept.

*$50,000 USD minimum charge plus expenses for all fetch quests. Extermination requests subject to environmental review.

Parental Warning: Contains descriptions of nudity and lizard sex. No eldritch abominations were molested in the writing of this novel.

All characters are fictional. Any resemblance to actual Gods, Deities, or Discord server members is purely coincidental regardless of how accurately they are described.

In many ways, I'm glad I didn't pick this up sooner.

The first major arc of the story is wonderful, but it lasts a long, long time. By the time it ended, there simply wasn't much left to read, and boy did I want to read more of the next part. I can't imagine having picked this up when there was nothing but the dungeon. It probably would have felt like the story took ages to actually get anywhere, despite so much happening, and the occasional glimpse of the world outside.

On the other hand, I also feel like there wasn't enough to the first arc, either. As much as I was ready for the story to move on, to expand into the broader world, I still want more of that first dungeon. It was great, and there's so much more that could have been told of that time period. What happened to the dwarven ship? How did the floors interact during those last two years? How did Quasi grow, and his classes develop? (Though, I do like the bit of mystery there).

It's an odd mixture of feelings.

Still, the second arc has been a lot of fun so far, too, and I can't wait to read more of it!

Pretty good, the POV Changes are pretty damn annoying and some of the POVs of other heroes (like Franky's) are damn boring and before long I just skipped all his parts. I agree with some of the other people in the review section, the POVs of other characters should have their own side chapters. It makes the story less confusing and easier to skip.

Some parts are also extremely long and provide no real context. The Centaur part where the dude tells his story, can you guess how much of that I read? 20%. I skipped the rest because I'm not making myself read through all that. Besides this issue, the fic is pretty good with a likable Anti-Hero MC.

This novel is a very fun read. The characters and their interactions are unique. Though the changes in point of view are very annoying, you can easily skip them. &Nbsp;                     The novel has solid world logic and no discernible plot holes. And side characters have their own personality.
