For now, the story is riddled with jokes and gags. While it's not bad per se, the fact that it's constantly humorous takes away from the narrative or the story it's trying to develop.

While the characters have their backgrounds, personalities, and motivations, that is, they are not "paper characters" (I mean, they are not dull, they are not stereotypes taken from a mass-production "factory" and they are not "flat, " which is already said a lot about the typical ones who rely on continuous clichés; here, the chips are used but to laugh at the clichés themselves)...

But a "continuous chaos" is also transmitted; surely the author wanted to convey that feeling of chaos and "anything is possible" with which the world develops continuous sub-stories of "main" characters and the "chaos" of the co-protagonist itself. But at least for me, it is somewhat uncomfortable (not the world, but that of the co-protagonist girl Lyra)

It is intended to be taken down the path of "humor, " but it becomes more of a strionic humor, that is, an exaggerated and uncontrolled emotional expression, which can be very changeable and superficial.

While not a bad thing, Japanese stories often use this type of humor in their novels and mangas, but without eliminating the "depth" and seriousness of the stories themselves and the story's themes.

Yeah, well, it's not bad to give it some direction or develop how it's going. I personally don't like it that much, but it's not worth criticizing. It's just the "turn off your brain, laugh if you want" kind of story.

If not, one is finding several plot errors or getting pissed off by the senseless attitude of the co-protagonist (Lyra) and her lack of reflection and repentance about everything.

The characters most prominently featured were the MC (Dan), the co-protagonist (Lyra), her parents, and the childhood friend with the clichéd childhood crush.

While I like Dan's character, and he's the "soul" providing the narrative for the strionic jokes, and Lyra is the cause of the senseless chaos for Dan's suffering and despairing love/hate as the "comedy duo" of a stand-up comedy show... Something is "wrong" with Lyra's character; she does so many senseless things, even for a toddler.

While the father is the typical "too good for this world" loving father, he goes too far to the point where he seems to have no "personality." The mother, who should have disciplined her daughter for practically ruining the father's life and quite possibly the core of the family's livelihood, is conspicuously absent.

The childhood friend, well, it's still too early to say anything.

I think they wanted to simplify it enough for the "humor key" to the story. While not bad, overdoing this point can be more harmful than anything else. especially when you want to reach points in the story where they are truly serious or where it really begins to develop as a mature story.
