I died at 34—tragic car accident, nothing flashy. One second I was dodging marriage proposals and office deadlines, the next I was waking up in a world full of magic, swords, and people way too enthusiastic about either.
Turns out, this new world had its end-of-the-world moment a century ago. Heroes died, monsters roamed, kingdoms fell, blah blah. But I missed all that. Lucky me. Born as the son of a court mage in the Empire of Wellstion, I’ve got decent mana, a loving family, and a society that expects me to do something with my life.
Joke’s on them—I was lazy in my last life, and I brought that energy with me. Still, when the academy entrance exam starts throwing fireballs and teleportation traps, I guess it’s time to pretend to care.
Magic’s real, girls are prettier, and monsters want to kill me. Again.
Welcome to my second life. Hopefully I die less stupid this time.
This is... adequate. It’s clichéd. Greatly so. The story isn’t trying to be anything new, and if you’re reading it, you’ve most likely been drawn in by the Main Character. He’s the only one with any uniqueness; the others are just your usual anime-style cardboard cutouts. For a moment, I thought there might be something different about his father, but the storytelling (more a recap of events than true narration) doesn’t allow for that kind of development or lore drop. Everything is constantly on the move, and the pace is relentless.
Now, my grievance.
One interesting thing about this story is the Main Character’s clear awareness of the clichés happening around him. He can identify them, make a few dry jokes... but he never actually does anything about them. He makes no real effort to avoid them. In the end, he’s basically just your average isekai protagonist.
I dislike that.

I am writing this review after I read this new author work and liked it that dry humor and monologue of protagonist is best and adding chaos team to mix is insane, I literally laughed when they came back from dungeon.

Pretty darned awesome if I do say so myself. Love the sneaky snarky boy who at the beginning is lazy and I felt a kindred spirit and now he's massively op with his team (and soon they will take over the world) not really lol
So far it's all school based with princesses politics and all that jazz mixed with dungeon crawling.
Can't go wrong with a slow romance and destroying school property lol
Can't wait to read more. Thank you author 😁

Would recommend anyone to give this story a chance.
Nothing super unique or different but author clearly enjoys writing this story and it shows. Because the story is a fun goofy joyride. It doesn't take itself too seriously and isn't afraid to use every cliche in the book.
It's honestly a miracle that author hasn't written himself into a power scaling hole yet. Although it helps a lot that the power system is somewhat vague and once again isn't taking it too seriously.
As for the world building it's kinda mostly hidden mostly because author doesn't want to sweat the small details but it fits because MC honestly couldn't care less about the outside world.
1 star off for putting every piece of dialogue in a separate box. It's really annoying. But I did admittedly get used to it pretty quickly.
