Synopsis

***New Poll active at chapter 43***
*Chapters 1-12.5 have been edited to bring them up to later chapers standards.*
*New release schedule Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday. Need time for other projects. Thank you all for reading."

Urban fantasy meets cultivation, with superpowered mutants, horny chaos gremlins, and one very tired reincarnator just trying to pass his GED.

After four years in a coma, Gaven Cael didn’t just wake up. He changed. Taller. Sharper. Stronger. Haunted by another life.

Officially, his mutant ability is “Danger Sense.” Unofficially? He’s a sword-wielding cultivator in a superhero world that forgot what Qi even is. He remembers how to fight, how to breathe in power, how to shape it. And now he’s rebuilding the path of cultivation in secret, under the noses of the Registry.

He tries to play it cool: hero school, mutant evaluations, body tempering rituals, and awkward sleepovers with his overprotective sister and flirty trans best friend. But the world keeps bending around him, and not always in the way he expects.

Behind every smile is a secret. Behind every girl, a question. Behind every fight, a memory he can’t quite forget.

So he trains. He hides. He builds something new.

And somehow, without meaning to, a harem begins to form around him.

And he hopes no one notices he’s already becoming something more than human.

Content Heads-Up:
This story features a trans girl (she gets with the MC). There’s heat, care, emotional trust, and a little chaos.

No NTR. All sex scenes include the MC. Some girls are with each other and him. If anything happens without him, it’s off-screen.

Yes, there’s Yuri. Yes, it’s earned. Yes, they like it.

Stayed for the Characters, Missed the Cultivation

I picked this up expecting the usual: breakthrough cycles, body tempering, dual cultivation nonsense, and a bunch of waifus throwing themselves at the MC after he defeats a young master or two.

What I got instead... was feelings. Emotional beats. Complex women. Actual character development.

At first, I was annoyed. Cultivation takes a backseat here. It’s there, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not the focus. The author clearly cares more about interpersonal dynamics than power levels. The MC spends more time navigating emotional trauma and layered relationships than refining Qi. And somehow... I didn’t mind?

The girls are compelling. They argue, cry, flirt, and push back. They remember things and have their own agendas. There’s humor, heart, and enough taboo tension to keep things spicy without being gratuitous. Even the smut feels... earned. It’s less “next conquest, ” more “emotional explosion with s*xual consequences.”

So why 4 stars? Because I’m still a cultivation junkie at heart. I wanted more technique breakdowns, sect rivalries, unique physiques, pill concoctions, and power systems. When those moments hit, they’re solid, but they’re not the backbone of the story. The MC’s cultivation feels more like seasoning than the main dish.

If you’re looking for pure power fantasy, this isn’t it. But if you want a messy, emotional, harem-centered story with a cultivation backdrop, and characters you might actually care about, this one might surprise you.

Just be prepared to feel things. And maybe cry a little. I wasn’t ready either.

I don't know if it's written by AI or if it's revised to such an extent that the text has been so summarized that it feels like I'm doing a speed reading.

The chapters seem like they should have at least 50% more text and it got lost in some moment of maniacal summary.

I'm not even an author but I clearly notice that sometimes 3 to 5 more words in a sentence, or a line gently describing the actions of the characters, would make me feel like the character has emotion and not that I'm reading something soulless. And the worst part is that the idea of the story is cool, the plots are interesting but it feels like I'm consuming a summary and not the whole material.

That said, I really liked this work even with its flaws, and well after 10 chapters, where the analysis above was made, it improved significantly. I recommend it but be aware of the limitations.
