My submissions for the 2020 Yuri Garden writing competitions. Met Her Match was written for the "9 Nights in the Garden of Lilies: A Yuri Garden Anthology" while The Dragon and Snake was written for "The Yuri Garden Writing Competition (2020)". Both protagonists are black women while one protagonist is fat.

Met Her Match (summary which I copied from the Yuri Garden Glossary)
Joy has it all: she’s beautiful, she’s successful, and she’s one half of the UK showbiz scene’s lesbian power couple. That’s why she’s Adaaku’s rival. At least, that’s what Adaaku tells herself. She swears it has nothing to do with being snubbed on Tinder all those years ago. When targeted bullying leaves Adaaku crying alone in a bathroom, however, it’s Joy who comes to save her.

The Dragon and The Snake
Candace has an agenda for entering the emperor's harem. And it's definitely not because of love. However, Lucy, the empress makes it difficult to focus on her agenda. Maybe her agenda is because of love after all.
