What good was victory when so much had been lost. A party of over a hundred, reduced to less than twenty, the last remaining members of the human race. There was a chance to go back, to start from the opening of Dos, but only one member of the party could go back.
And he was dead.
Dustin found himself waking up to a head filled with memories he did not remember, a life lived, and ended, without his consent.

So far Planetary Brawl is a good take on the reincarnated / apocalyptic world genres. It avoids many of the traps that other stories often fall into such as making their character too overpowered too quickly or making everything in the story centre around the main character.
There are a few things that make this story not worth a 5/5 rating:1. Unclear writing; I often find myself not understanding what is exactly happening and having to reread it a few times only to give up because it just doesn't make sense to me.
2. Inconsistent narrator; the narrator on more than one occasion contradicts himself or forgets important plot points. This isn't necessarily a problem if utilized correctly but I suspect it is just a mistake by the author as the way he does it has broken my immersion into the story quite frequently.
3. Worldbuilding; or more the lack of proper world building. Half of the time the descriptions of the terrain or the world are either so messy and complicated I have a hard time imagining what the world looks like which makes it hard to understand what is happening. His family, friends, and the non-fantasy part of the world could also use a lot more development because although there are often hints as to main characters mother being concerned for him or things happening in the world at large but aside from at the very start we very rarely see anything concrete. I would very much like to see more of how the non-fantasy side of this world reacts to this strange turn of events (and how it affects their lives).

Pretty nice thus far, I'll do a proper review once there are around 15 chapters or so.
