Some cultivators use swords, but they are not swordsmen. Some mortals are swordsmen, but they are not cultivators.
Mu Chen would have also been the same as every other cultivator, if not for an unfortunate incident that changed the course of his life-he was crippled and left incapable of cultivating.
Fortunately, the event also led Mu Chen to rediscover his passion for the sword. And in doing so, he stepped onto a completely different path of cultivation. A hitherto unknown path.
But with no one to guide him on his journey, how far will Mu Chen walk the path? And where will it lead him to?

This is like a Chinese novel, perfectly translated but that translation comes at a cost. All the characters are even worse than the normal Chinese novels (that says a lot). I read the other review stating that there are no plot holes, I found several from reading a fraction of the story?
Immediately in the story the MC gets crippled, thereby discovering a new way of cultivation, yet from that discovery he magically learns a formula to help him cultivate faster? How is that not a plot hole? It was said he was the first discoverer and that he spend all his time training, now hes on the clock and he decides in whats a few seconds, oh I can use a new formula to increase my cultivation speed. That's not all he stated that the clan has rules to follow, then he again magically thinks of that his crippling was planed and that it was from one in the same clan. Now how the clan his parents and everybody else fails to see this is again a mystery. (Or they see it but if that's the case and they did nothing, that wold mean that the clan should have already collapsed from all the infighting, from how a junior cultivator gets away with planed murder).
Not to mention that everybody is so obsessed with the MC its insane, it feels like the world will stop moving if the MC decides to go to sleep. In the Chinese novels the MC feels like a twisted human, in this one hes like a horny child living his horny dream, projecting his insecurities on others. While the female leads are only there for the, horny? To show of that even as a cripple the MC has the best pecker? That all the other peckers are meaningless? No mater how much better they are. From there childish crush, the women became brainwashed s*x slaves that will stick with the MC forever, showing hostilities to there families and even threatening them?!?!?
It wold all be acceptable if it was said formerly in the story that cultivation eats away at the brain. Currently you can pic any machine translated Chinese novel and it wold be better than this one.

I’m writing this review since nobody did it before and I feel the need to share my opinion about it. It’s a nice story, even if the tropes are standart for a xianxia novel. But even if it’s nothing new it is still done with care and I saw no plot holes till now.
The style is enjoyable and the MC is believable, without a plot armor bigger than the sky. I’m waiting the second arc of the story. Try it and you won’t regret the time spent.
