I won't bother with ratings, since I find them very uninformative. What makes a story 5 stars? Is it the characters? The story? Or some other third thing?
Anyways, this story is about Shinosaki Riku, a modern day cultivator who's very into anime. He enjoys anime to a very unhealthy level, which his parents disapprove of, and he spends most of his allowance funding anime. Fortunately, his grandma doesn't mind, and even encourages his interests, and their interactions are enjoyable to read.
Other characters have also been introduced, such as Chiba Chiyo and Florez Chiaki. I hope they stay relevant until the end of the story. The fiancee arc has yet to start, but I can't wait to see how it develops.
The first arc, which I'll call the Gross Otaku Arc, demonstrates the author's ability to write short conflicts that have a clear beginning and ending. The beginning and middle parts of this arc flow together nicely, but the ending of the arc suspends belief with the MC's solution being something that seems to have come out of nowhere. Other than the end, this arc is a good introduction to how the rest of the story will go.
I recommend reading through the first arc before dropping the story.
Someday, I'll come back and finish this review if the story actually reaches a conclusion.
