It wasn't the apocalypse that broke him. He was strong enough to survive that. But when his childhood friend died for him, that was when Lu Hao realized he had made a mistake. Now he had a chance to fix it.
(This is an expansion of the story "At the End of the World", as told by Lu Hao. It is told in three parts: arc 1 involves Lu Hao and Hong Sheng's childhood. Arc 2 delves into the original events of the first timeline, which resulted in Hong Sheng's death. Arc 3 shows how Lu Hao uses his second chance when he wakes up before the apocalypse - before Hong Sheng dies.)
I really like the first one, the uke POV. And because of that I hurriedly read this spin-off story and love it so much too. I hope you will continue to update this. Thank you author.

Thank you author for this wonderful spin-off!!
I must say I really liked the pacing for "At the end of the world" and find Hong Sheng's dedication to Lu Hao very endearing in a bittersweet sort of way. I liked it so much I had to go through your profile to see if I could find any other works to enjoy and it's a good thing I did! Especially since this appears to give a more detailed story-telling on an already brilliant piece.
It feels a little refreshing to view the events on Lu Hao's perspective and I look forward to how everything leads to the original premise!! I'm hoping it gets to be as heart-aching as I imagine it would be. Will be waiting as patiently as I can for the next chapters, Thank you for your work! (≧∇≦)

So freaking sweet. I loved reading about their childhood. Also I love the parallels ars drew between the protagonist and villain, and the interesting twists in settings to an otherwise familiar zombie world. Hong Sheng is a badass who deserves all the love, and I can't wait to read more of ars's stuff <3
