Before we get into spoilers and my thoughts on each book I just wanted to say. I quite enjoyed where each book ended and begun. It felt very right to me which is something I find a number of authors fail to accomplish. Secondly overall I give a thumbs up but I'll provide more detail in the next heading

    Book 1

    Spoiler

Overall I enjoyed book one, the message at the beginning terrified me though. Darker than years of mental and physical trauma? Didn't sound pleasant. In the end it wasn't that bad. Perhaps its just the odd weight I give to mental torture but honestly nothing really topped the first short while in terms of just uncomfortable feelings. Not a complaint mind you just something of note. Next I am pleased that the night she went out partying was, skipped, and quickly resolved. I hate it when characters loose there memory especially if its the main one however it was handled well, bit strange and I felt it was bit too out of character even after the change but not that bad. I cannot say I felt strongly about any character during the first book, this has been helped immensely but for just the first book only Sora kept my interest. Story wise I liked all the references and the nine days of transformations I think it was handled well. Pacing in the first book was also great never felt bored reading it. All in all, a solid first book but at this point it hasn't truly captured me if this makes sense

    Book 2

    Spoiler

So we've started book two and everyone's been captured. I like that we have the whole cast together for book two but in some ways it really left that final fight of book one unresolved. Ultimately though I feel this was the best decision because it creates a strangely compelling atmosphere almost like a train car murder mystery. Everyone is thrown together, we know the players but we do not know who will help who. Which priority take president. This was truly where I was like YES. Anyway then we get introduced to Diane. I have some mixed feelings about her. She created a great centre piece for the prison. Even though she wasn't in charge she was clearly the most important piece on the 'prison side' I hate her as a person but I love that. I also quite liked how we got introduced to Inari. I love her character, its such an interesting mix of so many things. Book two got me to care about Sora, Inari, Jin and ice girl who I can't remember the name of. The eye thing was interesting, through some chaos into the mix though I somewhat wish more happened with that it did lend a cool horror vibe to the prison for a while and despite it feeling out of place it was a nice little arc that might still be important. Eric, Eric Eric. So I am not sure how I feel about him. I would argue he doesn't have a redemption arc because he was shattered. To me Eric is a dead man, this new guy we just met called Eric is cool though sweet kid. Anyway on one hand I like that he has become a more interesting character but on the other I really would have enjoyed seeing someone punch him again. Fen and Tiger dude I forgot the name of feel like a good addition to the cast at this point but I do not yet care for them as characters. The series of several fights at the end was a bit strange. Having so many waves was a bit weird to me bit ultimately eh its a fight scene its fine. The whole deal with the devil part was interesting. Once again mixed feelings. I liked that they considered it and I also like that they didn't take the deal, it was clearly shady but a part of me does whish that Gina didn't shut that conversation down. Overall conclusion somehow it feels much better than book one.

    Book 3

    Spoiler

So this was certainly the most fun book, but I am not sure if I would say its the best. I'll withhold judgment until its finished I guess but at this moment I think two might edge it out for me. I really liked the awakening section. Debating psychology for quite a few chapters was fun especially because I recognised a lot of the works. Inari got a chance to say a lot of really interesting things as well and if I didn't mention it already I think she is probably my favourite character. I think this book went a long way to make me care a little about the whole cast. I still don't really care about wolf girl and bird boy, but I care more. The three adults had some interesting arcs as well but I really liked everything we did with Wendy that was top notch. The adults still feel a bit irrelevant I suppose but Mary is getting close to having me care about her at the very least. The big mystery in the hidden realm is interesting and we keep getting to see how complex and strange the whole thing is, but if I'm honest its nowhere near as interesting as the rest of the arc has been. Not to say its bad, not in the slightest, I expect good things going forward but the psychology and the awakening chats I think really nailed it. If it wasn't for the fact that book three is unfinished and I really loved all the pieces of book 2 book 3 might edge it out. As for the mixed perspective I have some mixed feelings honestly. The differing perspectives in this, at least for the bird and wolf chapters (look sorry I only remember Aiden's name and vaguely that wolfy starts with a Ka I am super bad at names) are chapters that I wasn't thrilled to read in the moment but in the broader context of the story I think I can say I am happy they were there. Its a hard balance to make when it comes to split perspectives.

Hey you. You see those tags? Especially the one that reads "Psychological"

You might have read the synopsis and said "Interesting. But what does it actually say?"

Its the story of Sora. How her changes in her life are beyond grand, scary and exciting. Exactly like puberty basically. Only magical; with enemies and friends and enemies turned to friends and the power to persevere and learn through mistakes and actions.

Be witness to the growing of a bullied, repressed girl turning into something more, something grand and magical. Pushed around by forces she has no control on but has to work herself into her new circumstances and fill in the steps of the giants before her.

Yes, its a beautiful story. Start reading it.

I really like this novel. At first I wanted to read just a few chapters, see what the story and plot were all about, and leave it to watch later.

what happened? Read on, I get caught up in the story and the plot.

The character development is excellent, with her problems of self-esteem, personal stories, barious personality and unique characteristics, etc, etc.

The story is original, funny, dramatic and interesting. The different and varied mythologies, organizations, the very "system" and functioning of the world are combined quite well. Everything is very well explained, it is logical and presented to the reader in an interesting and natural way.

Not only that, the amount of content is really great and interesting. It is noted that the writer is very knowledgeable on various topics included in the story (psychilocy, sociology, mythology, philosophy) and make them fit all together.

Some would say that dealing with certain topics is a "filler" chapter, I would rather call them "reflection" chapters. It's what it would be like for a beginner's story with someone who knows what he's doing. After that, knowing how to carry the narrative, the development and the message that one wants to transmit, but all that is very well done.

It has emotional ups and downs, happy, sad, emotional, depressive, dramatic, peaceful, a slice of life all just right.

Sinsemente, no complaints and I highly recommend reading this story. For some it can be a somewhat heavy story to read, especially for occasional readers. But in my opinion, it is worth reading.

edit: ps: I wanted to change the number of stars in my review, I don't know why I can't put the 5 stars

I thought this was a pretty good story. I loved the MC as she unravels the mystery behind her transformation. The buildup was also pretty great.

But near the end of the first volume/book. It really started losing my interest. Then the Prelude for the second volume/book confirmed my fears. I never liked what is introduced to the story and it didn't feel me with much hope.

Based off of what I read of the first volume. Then I think this is a pretty fun story to read and even think the Miami setting is pretty unique. Others might enjoy what happens in the second volume but it isn't for me.

That Acidic Tongue and this quick and sharp dialogue. Delicious.

    Grammar: 4.9/5

    Story: 4/5

    Writing: 5/5

Another nice bit of work by an author I'm growing fond of on this site. The grammar is impeccable, the story while not entirely new to the genre is executed beautifully, and the writing ties it all together in a stunning package. There are minor flaws in the writing of this author, but a quick proofread by a third party would fix those in a jiffy, while a professional editor would be recommended to polish everything into a gem.

Overall, another masterpiece I'm looking forward to the completion of. The initial chapters give you that slight sick-to-the-gut feeling when you see females fighting over something viciously... delightful.

Of all of the author' books this one is definitely my favorite, probably my favorite on this website as well. Which breaks my heart a little cause of the bi-weekly update schedule but w/e.

While it isn't perfect, this story is a joy to read and is amazingly compelling. The author has a real gift for storytelling. Keep up the good work
