Laying in his own pool of blood, Lu Chen watches his wife being embraced by another man. He couldn’t believe it. If there is any way possible, Lu Chen wanted to tear them apart from each other, yet nothing. Lu Chen couldn’t do anything as he slowly dies. And the final words he will ever hear was,
“You will always be nothing but second place.” Then a bullet went through his chest.
Before Lu Chen had lost all consciousness, endless regret begins to flow through him. The people that cared for him he ignored, people that trusted him he betrayed. The only thing he had on his mind was; a second chance.
However, it is as if somebody had heard him plead. Lu Chen was sent back to his 18-year-old body. He didn't want to believe it, yet he had to. Lu Chen couldn't waste this opportunity. What will the young man do to change his future?

Please note that I will be posting on RoyalRoad and Webnovel as well.
As a second chance novel in a more standard urban world, I greatly enjoy it.
some stuff I like about it:
i dont have much to comment on what can be improved asides from the fact that there is bit too much filler for my taste but provides a good background of what maybe to come.
p.s. Please make the chapters longer if you can id rather have longer chapters instead of more of them...

Reviewer / user TDM says it quite well.
This is a face slapping novel. I has the elements, of second chance / do-over / return to the past qualities. Coupled with the famous Chinese school interactions (both in JP and China) of a rich person. Honestly better than most of the actual Chinese one's, but... (I'm not going to mention it). I'm not surprised people find it boring, but grammar, pacing and story is good. This is really oriented towards a specific reader / niche. Author has some cool ideas though.

So far the overall development is great between characters and the tone set. No grammatical errors from what I can see either. Only problem is the chapters are too short but the frequency of the updates makes up for it in a way. Lastly looking forward to how the romance is developed as there have been no hints towards any yet but from the pace it is looking promising.

The story was fairly good. Despite what other negative reviews say about the story, assume that the story isn't going to spoonfeed you the motivation and reasons behind some characters' actions or inaction. When I first read it, I thought it was going to be a 2D writing of a story but it has some depth. So my advice is to keep an open mind. The only problem I have with the later part of the story, from 300 to 400 chapters is the lack of concurrent plots which is used to avoid focusing on one arc at a time, it also leaves room for foreshadowing or hints to reasons, etc.

Hello I don't know who is reading this but I want to say that this may not be the best novel in the world or that it has original things and not cliches but I just want to say that independent of all that, it is my favorite novel I don't know why but I simply like this novel it has made me laugh, get serious when the chapter reaches its climax and other experiences that I have gone through with this novel, I have even reread it and I don't get bored. I just want to tell you bro to keep it up and I hope to get to the end of this novel with you.

This is an amazing story and just keeps getting better. You can feel the author getting better at his craft with each chapter. I think the whole thing so far has been well planned out and executed. Some times the pace is fast and some times it is slow. Nothing is rushed but nothing is boring either. I like that this is labeled as Slice Of Life as well. I enjoy our MC and the side character POVs being presented. Something I am normally not a fan of. But in this case the author does a great job of making them interesting and an integral part of the story. I know some people feel like the MC should hurry up and get to the s*xy times, but I think the pace is exactly what is needed to show that the MC has been through the ringer before and wants to make sure he focuses on what he feels is important this time. This is not the usually fantasy of going back to your younger self and scoring all the girls, captain of the team, etc... This time it is about revenge on those who wronged him, reconnecting with his family and friends, and finding the path to happiness for himself. I am seriously hooked to this story and wait eagerly each time for the installment.

The story premise look promising at first until it slowly goes downhill around chapter 200ish. Decent read to pass time but be warned that c293 is literally the one chapter that push people to drop this series.
Characters we got like 1st ex-fiance that is basically a brainless bitch, 2nd is a childhood friend that love MC but also a 2 face scheming bitch, 3rd a childhood friend that know the first and 2nd and also MC childhood friend but barely did anything to help MC and watch people abuse and bully him and claim to want to maintain friendship with him, 4th this is probably the worst one and also the one that cause most peoole to drop this series, a bodyguard that have strong possessive love for MC that attempt to get MC's friend raped for being close to MC. 5th probably the only normal and without any attribute, also the one where the bodyguard tried to get her raped.
