Few people are purely evil or good. Everyone has their own desires and their own principles guiding what they are prepared to do to achieve those desires. A duke who wants to expand the influence of his house, his wife who is fiercely loyal to her friends, and their child who just wants some comfortable clothes. The queen who wants what's best for the kingdom, the king who wants what's best for his family and a prince with an inferiority complex. Even if everyone acts in a way they deem 'correct', sometimes people can still get hurt.

it's a fairly short and nice story and though I would've liked to see more of Alice's life aftward, that is in no way a demerit on the author's behalf as not letting things draw on longer than necessary is also a good thing. Wanting more just shows that the story was good and you should give it a try. 😊

the story is very simple and that's exactly what I like about it. This is the story of a "villainess" who's plan to get herself exiled works. The story talks about the chaos of her subsequent exile. I'm happy the author went for something simple. Most often than not writers try and make a large and complicated plotline that just doesn't work. Cathfach made this simple and beautiful basically.

I love the MC of this story and how she finds a way to walk away clean to start a life of her own choosing.
Sure her schemes are a bit unpolished but time and practice will solve that. They were effective and managed to keep the players diverted long enough for her to leave.
